1) What could of Twolves done different to make their cy?
the Lasagna Kid: Not sent out horrible offers, then accepted worse ones. He did a horrible job at tanking and ended up with mediocre players, leading to gutting the teams future
Orlando: Holy Shit. I thought next year was Break's contract year. This poor bastard. What in the world lol. He has no rebounders. His team is awful. He built a poor squad. He needed depth, rebounding, offensive players. Just a whole new team. It's kinda odd though. So many useful vets available at the start of the season. People are always trading away older talent pretty cheaply. Should have just built an old squad and make your CY. Start again next year. Sad!
Chipper: Not panic. That's #1. The Cosic trade hurt them a LOT because what was their strength turned into average/poor in their rebounding.
Andrew: Not sure since I have only been back for about two seasons and haven't been able to watch the progression of the team. There was a lot of discourse around Kosic but as I previously stated, making or missing CY should not be dependent on Kresmir Kosic. The most important things he could do for a potential return to the league is 1) Ignore any PM from Skillz, 2) Don't wait until CY to make moves because then you back yourself up against a wall with no buffer, and 3) Just do your own thing without input from anyone else and see where that gets you
2) Who is winning it all this year? Dark horses?
the Lasagna Kid: Hawks and Spurs look like the most likely, GSW and Cleveland are my backups. Think GSW have a great core 7 and they should make a deep run.Orlando: Hawks winning it all this year. Dark horse is the Lakers. Don't let them get hot.
Chipper: Hawks and my guy DBW, dark horse would be Lakers for me. Like their lineup.
Andrew: The Spurs look awesome and have a really solid lineup with very few weakness Lots of parity in the East with six teams being separated by 4 games in the standings. Any team could walk away with the Eastern Conference title (and a ring) but my dark horse of the group is the Knicks.
3) Who will be the next gm getting the axe and why?
the Lasagna Kid: Break, cause he failed at CY again.Orlando: I think Royal is in his CY next year? So I guess he might have a good shot of being fired from the CY. Team needs a lot of work.
Chipper: oof- probably me if I don't make the right moves this offseason with my CY coming up. Royal is also in danger too but I feel confident in him making the moves as well. Just make sure he saves some gifts for me to grab.
Andrew: Phoenix Suns GM! I had no backup plan last draft after falling from 2 to 4 and now I am on the outside looking in at a really nice top 5. Outside of Alex English my roster smells.
4) Top 5 players in the league?
the Lasagna Kid: No clue what so ever.
Orlando: Erving, Magic, KAJ, Malone, Karl?
Chipper: Magic, Kareem, Moses, Dr. J, and I'm rushing this so I forget who my 5th was.
Andrew: In no particular order: Dr J, Moses Malone, KAJ, Bird, and Magic. First three based on production, last two based on value
5) Which teams have the best 2-3 year outlook?
the Lasagna Kid: Spurs, GSW, Cavs
Orlando: Magic. Let's go baby! We're grooving. We're shaking. We're the Orlando Magic and we're horny.
Hawks will still be nasty for a few years for sure.
Knicks seem to have a bright future.
Spurs look to have a good core and winning lots of games.
Suns are developing a nucleus after this year's draft might be something there.
Chipper: Magic and the Heat- mostly because they ended up with Magic and Bird. That's a massive boost for the two of them.
Andrew: The Knicks always seem to have elite youth, which once again seems to check out. Spurs are young and have the best record in the West. Atlanta has some really nice staying power. Miami should have a really nice squad as well. Shoutout to stool for building a nice squad with relatively limited FBB experience as well
6) What is your plan with your team?
the Lasagna Kid: Start a short rebuild. Need to get a young elite person that I can actually build around.
Orlando: I think keep drafting well and build around Magic. I have another top pick in this year's draft and ton's of cap space. I want to sign a young stud and go from there. Keep building this lineup!
Chipper: Avoid getting CY'd this offseason- hopefully draft one of the top centers in this draft that can actually play, get another big, and find a true PG to go with the 2 SGs I already have.
Andrew: Take wild shots in Free Agency and hope my guys improve in TC. Look to make easy trades from tanking teams and land a stud big somehow
7) Top 5 in the next draft?
the Lasagna Kid: Donaldson / Crybaby Laimbeer / Eaton / KiKi / Cartwright
Orlando: Sidney, Laimbeer, Cartwright/Donaldson, Kiki, Eaton
Chipper: Laimbeer, Eaton, Moncrief, Cartwright, Donaldson. Not necessarily in that order.
Andrew: Moncrief/Lambier/Cartwright/Eaton/Kiki
8) Magic and Bird what’s your evaluation of them so far?
the Lasagna Kid: Dang good, but will get better. Kinda surprised they didn’t get some kind of stip to replenish their POT after a couple seasons.
Orlando: magic and bird what’s your evaluation of then so far
Both are really damn good. Magic is a walking triple-double machine. Guy is going to dominate this league. Larry Bird is very good. Very efficient. More stocks than I thought. He is going to a great player for awhile in this league.
Chipper: They're great. I mean, we expected them to be and they are. Magic with the 3x2s so you can live with the turnovers and Bird is excellent as well.
Andrew: Exactly where they should be. IIRC low 20 to mid 20's in ppg with plus rebounding. Stocks are a work in progress. Only real concern is turnovers for both, but that should go away after a few TC's.
9) Any 4th of July plans?
the Lasagna Kid: Not really, traveling to ND for a family reunion the Friday after so don’t want to burn Monday as a vacation day. Holidays in the middle of the week, don’t lend to doing much other than taking it easy and sleeping in.
Orlando: Going to Key West with my friends. Should be a blast. Get weird. Some drinks. Casual Wholesome Fun.
Chipper: Gonna take off work and hang out with the fam- have my wife's sister-in-law coming down to visit with her husband and his kids. (yes, it's her sister-in-law- my wife's brother died by suicide and she's still very close with his widow)
Andrew: Traveling to Connecticut for a long weekend
