I've always replaced my own alternators out of sheer anger at labor costs then four or five hours later hate my life

I have less then zero mechanical knowledge. My dad was a mechanic and he hated it. Alternators are very simple, but can be pretty labor intensive depending on how your belt is mounted in relation to your engine
Bet your alternator costs between 300-500 with the rest being labor charges. I'd change it for you if I were there haha

www.partsgeek.com/Not sure it was this site but something similar ..so Much easier if you buy the part and then they just install at a mechanic shop

Overall not bad. Only stayed 3 days instead of 4 cause we were stuck for a day. Car rental was 500. Car repair was 900. Cabin was free.
Tahoe is legit.
