if I manage to get lucky enough to mint one, the odds of landing a rare one are obviously low, but the floor NFT price is set at 20 SOL (the floor usually rises a few days after release) so at a bare minimum I'd make like 1K+ profit
but the odds of me landing a mint are pretty low, people are hyped for this and SOL is on fire right now, this NFT mint will likely drive the price up a lot

too many bored rich people yeah for sure, I don't totally get the appeal of some of these NFTs (I guess music ones are kinda cool) but hey, if some dude wants to give me $20K for a digital picture of a badger wearing a swag outfit, I'm all for it |

Like does the value of my NFT rise and fall with the rise and fall of ETH? ashes these are on the solana blockchain, but in a way they do I guess? but they also rise and fall with demand one of the recent NFT drops for Solana, Degen Apes, just had a rare ape NFT sell for 2500 SOL, so a few days ago that was roughly $175k, but it would now be worth $210K. But it's not like the 2500 SOL is a set price on it, could end up being sold again for like 3000 SOL, who knows So people are hedging that there is some premium based off of the tangible components of the NFT? Hmm. The only downside you have is if the physical token drops. Because every NFT is unique there cannot be duplicates there is always the potential for an upside premium if someone wants to pay more for the artwork? |

and give you a little something something on the backend, but the way it's set up as soon as the timer expires, the mint option will open, then you have to connect wallet and drop the 5 sol

Don't really see the downside compared to traditional buying of tokens outside of the actual value of the token dropping.

Don't really see the downside compared to traditional buying of tokens outside of the actual value of the token dropping. Yeah with the big projects, there doesn't seem to be a lot of downside. But smaller projects with less backing can definitely struggle, since it's not like making NFTs is free. |

Yep. Yeah if you are small time, the costs and resources required are a huge wall, then even if you manage to get past that you have to deal with the fact that there is likely no to very little interest in your NFTs. Not entirely sure how these big NFT projects like Sol Punks, Degen Apes, Bold Badgers etc get so much clout and support, but whatever! |
