The tanks are an instrumental part of the strategy for the 42 and bust guys because they don't trade. Need to rely on draft picks if you don't trade. hard if you cant draft good players tho You are absolutely right. That's why it's important to make trades. The likelihood of drafting 3 legit stars in a row is slim to none. |

If you draft 3 superstars in a row, sure you can sit and do nothing.
For most, you'll need to sign and trade FAs for assets, combine youth for better youth, take on contracts to acquire assets, etc. etc.
