S3 GM RANKINGS
#1
-SVEDDA-
Spots Moved- +2
BREAKDOWN: Out of all the top GMs, that last few weeks Svedda has been the most consistent! He has stayed true to the core and is gradually getting better each season. This could be his year of getting the highly coveted BBS championship.
#2
-Greeme-
Spots Moved- UNCHANGED
BREAKDOWN: The reigning champ had a unbelievable season last year breezing through the conference and eventually taking down some tough playoff competition. He had some real bad luck in the offseason, but its too early in the season to count him out, he maintains his rank out of respect for his title.
#3
-ashes-
Spots Moved- +2
BREAKDOWN: Ashes is another GM who consistently makes moves for the betterment of the team. He isn't afraid to move any player, as we've seen with Kobe Bryant. He has a plan and a script and hes sticking to it. Currently the best team in the West, I feel he has the talent to go to wire to wire on top.
#4
-KOBE-
Spots Moved- +2
BREAKDOWN: Kobe has been doing a hell of a job with his franchise, he recently had some bad luck in free agency, but that's out of his control. Somewhere in the wacky brain of his is a switch that flips for GM mode and hes one of the best we got. My prediction for this time is to representing the East after a hard fought battle vs Cavs.
#5
-COVID-
Spots Moved- +3
BREAKDOWN: Despite the constant doubt, I have been in the front office locking in solid deals with the best of them. Nuggets are in the best shape of their tenure here so far and have a legitimate shot at winning the west.
#6
-JR-
Spots Moved- -5
BREAKDOWN: My man JR went from, winning the title, to making no moves, to making questionable moves. He drops a small amount because questionable moves aren't bad ones, we just don't know how they'll play out. He is a former champ so he gets the benefit of the doubt. He's all in on Carmelo Anthony this season. The only team probably not in the Lebron sweepstakes.
#7
-DARRELL-
Spots Moved- UNCHANGED
BREAKDOWN: Didn't really see Darrell make enough moves to move up in the rankings. He acquired Bobby Jackson who's gameplay is opposite what he runs in LA so I don't like that deal at all for him. But he has the benefit of having the best player and he drafted him so that's good enough for me to remain in the top 7.
#8
-habes-
Spots Moved- +11
BREAKDOWN: Habes was one of the more active trading GM's during the season. He honestly made all the correct moves and got himself a true contender in the west. He had a beautiful run to the finals, but was simply outmatched. Habes knows what he is doing, and hes doing well. Welcome back to the top 10 brother!
#9
-ERBES-
Spots Moved- UNCHANGED
BREAKDOWN: Erbes has been another consistant GM, he has been making solid onesy twosy deals, but nothing really to get him over the hump. He's hoarding big man and lacks a proper front court. He isn't really doing anything but staying stagnant. I applaud him for not sinking the ship yet. He remains in place.
#10
-Sargo-
Spots Moved- +3
BREAKDOWN: Sargo had a solid team, tore it apart and somehow is right back in the thick of things after a 1 year rebuild. Draft didn't go his way, but that didn't stop him from maximizing his assets and building a decent squad. He doesn't have enough to win it all but hes moving in the right direction.
#11
-Play/insane-
Spots Moved- -7
BREAKDOWN: Maybe I'm just being tough on these guys, but 2 minds aren't always better than one. The Bulls are kind of okay with riding in the middle of the pack. They don't have the greatest talent and haven't made a signature move yet. They are still talented nonetheless, but I just want to see more aggressiveness out of the two.
#12
-john-
Spots Moved- +3
BREAKDOWN: John made a defining trade in the off season acquiring scoring machine Jamal Crawford to pair with Tracy McGrady. Spurs still have holes, but they have a GM with a vision and hes making moves. Also made a solid draft pick with Mbenga.
#13
-galo-
Spots Moved- -2
BREAKDOWN: My man Galo is trying constantly to build a contender and i commend that, the group he has now has a major defensive flaw though, giving up 105 PPG. Hes making a lot of lateral moves and hasn't been able to improve the way he wishes. I expect another big trade to come soon, or Free Agency is going to rock him hard.
#14
-DB-
Spots Moved- +6
BREAKDOWN: Any team that is able to add the likes of Allan Houston and Dirk Nowitzki deserves to be praised. I knocked him for building around RIP, GWall and Curry, and the stubborn bastard finally listened. Just sucks for the other GM he got Dirk from. Buddy wasn't listening. Well done.
#15
-STEVE-
Spots Moved- -1
BREAKDOWN: A very smart and methodical tanker. Trust the process.
#16
-JAH-
Spots Moved- -5
BREAKDOWN: He doesn't really do much, and flies under the radar, but isn't a bad GM by any means.
#17
-ATSCOTT31-
Spots Moved- UNCHANGED
BREAKDOWN: Was really difficult to not move him in the rankings, he took a good gamble and got Tyson Chandler to solidify his front court, and hes right back at a successful tank..
#18
-SKILLZ-
Spots Moved- +4
BREAKDOWN: Talks a big game, and is very opinionated, but I see through the bullshit! Very good with words and has some knowledge of the game, but for the way he talks you would think he'd actually was a top GM. Hes not. He uses his words and manipulation 'skillz' to get more for less. He's moving back up on the rankings, due to him getting nice value for Jamal Crawford, that was a great needed deal.
#19
-NANZ-
Spots Moved- +7
BREAKDOWN: Nanz has been a bit aggresive lately, trying to make the playoffs to reset his CY. He currently has the leading scorer Gilbert Arenas paired with Elton Brand and these two alone are doing a damn good job keeping them afloat in the West. I think Lakers will make good off their Nets 03 before it loses value, and actually be a legitimate contender come playoffs. Keep it up.
#20
-brianh-
Spots Moved- +1
BREAKDOWN: For being new to FBB he has really held his own. He uses his analytical breakdowns to get good value in players and hes actually got a very solid team. Any team with Iverson should always be taken seriously and hes a legitimate sleeper in the East. Eyes will be on this team.
#21
-13rock-
Spots Moved- +3
BREAKDOWN: His team isn't in the best shape, and he's failed to build around Shaq quickly. However him acquiring Shaq alone shows he is a smart man. I wish he would act faster or deal Shaq, but it is early in the season and he has a bit of time.
#22
-pigpen-
Spots Moved- +2
BREAKDOWN: Moving in the right direction, Hornets have a shit load of average picks this draft and a lot of cap room. Interested how they play this draft, and what steals they can find. The fact they have picks and cap makes them in a better situation than most teams.
#23
-GAME-
Spots Moved- +5
BREAKDOWN: Game is a very kind GM. He is the Hue Crew farm, and we love him for it. Besides that he has been solid with trades, he has a good young group and has 3 years left on CY. His only knock is he waits until Trade Deadline to officially starting a tank. Think Lebron and start thinking now! Lose games.
#24
-BREAK-
Spots Moved- -1
BREAKDOWN: Tanking with Kobe really doesn't sit well with me, and I don't even know if they're actually tanking or just suck, that's the scary part. All jokes aside I've been in com's with footy, and he has a plan. Kobe, and a top 4 pick is going to be cute. Send Nuggets their 04 back though.
#25
-losanglife-
Spots Moved- -7
BREAKDOWN: No longer just coasting. Hes just not good, I understand it now. Season 3 and hes still building around Steve Francis. Time to do something chief. You're not looking to hot.
#26
-manas-
Spots Moved- -10
BREAKDOWN: He fooled the hell out of me. I thought he was solid GM before it appears he was just ridingthe coat tails of Dirk. His latest moves were failure after failure and he really showed his talents, or lack thereof. He is going to need a couple season of lotto luck to rebound from these debacles.
#27
-jeb-
Spots Moved- -15
BREAKDOWN: Nothing against this two GMs, good ass people for real. Just not seeing a whole lot of positive things right now. The moves they're making don't make the most sense and they don't have the most talented roster at the moment. They'll spend a year here, but I expect them to make a push back up real soon.
#28
-chipper-
Spots Moved- --1
BREAKDOWN: I'm going to be completely honest. This team is in bad bad place, he has two rookies who are simming well, but they're not going to be anything more than what they are now in my opinion. They don't play defense, and are just so bad.
#29
-AHSAN-
Spots Moved- UNCHANGED
BREAKDOWN: I'm not going to give him credit for getting extremely lucky with DD. Ahsan is still the worse GM in BBS. I'm actually grateful that he is going to be the GM with Lebron James. We will never have to worry him being a threat. I see Ahsan as a .500 GM at BEST. Dark days ahead in Houston.
