FYSA, this is maybe one or two times in my life I have lost it at a restaurant where the staff isn't blatantly disrespecting me for no reason (happened once or twice) so this doesn't happen on a normal basis.

Sugar is this posh ritzy restaurant in Brickell. Food is ok but it's best known for its views of the city. They require you to pay a $200 minimum when you eat there. I am not a fan of mandatory minimums at restaurants so I am already a little jaded getting to the table. So we get to our table and it's an interior seat of the roof deck. We have no view of the city from where we are and we have to walk around the perimeter. I am a little agitated at this point. Me and the girl I was dating at the time order desert. The description of the dessert is amazing so we order two. We wait an hour before they come up with two small cans of ice cream. I lost it on the waiter. "Are you serious! I waited an hour for fucking this!" Long story short, management was incredibly apologetic and accommodating. They cut the ice creams off the check and sent me and my GF to some private bar with great views of the city where they took a lot more of my money. Amazing business strategy on their part. VIP PIG |
