Pettit one of the 15-20 greatest NBA players ever. Coming into BBS at a time where another dominant big would be welcomed wholeheartedly. no hes not I’ll move it to top 25 at worst. He’s clearly there. |

Y’all have that recency bias and don’t like the old draft classes
I’ve at least studied basketball history for awhile and can appreciate the different eras.
Pettit was a 2x MVP, was the all-time leading scorer and rebounder when he retired, 10x first team All-NBA- and literally the only one to beat the biggest winner in NBA history in the Finals. Russell once said Pettit was the best player he played against. And that was including Wilt and Oscar, etc.
