i tried to get in to anime for the girls that like it but i just can't get in to it. this teenage filipino girl talked about haikyuu on one of the podcasts i listen to that's the only reason i know what that is. she has a crush on one of the guys

yea i loved dbz as a kid and i get why ppl love it but i just can't get that invested in it. a lot of my friends love it my old roommate would watch it non stop

yea i loved dbz as a kid and i get why ppl love it but i just can't get that invested in it. a lot of my friends love it my old roommate would watch it non stop DBZ is really only an anime to enjoy when you're younger, it was a good gateway to better quality animes so it was obviously huge for making anime popular in the west, but overall DBZ is kinda weak |

Only downside to sports animes is they all have the same formula. Underachieving team that was once great with a few good seniors, recruit amazing OP first year students to reclaim former glory, lose in a heartbreaking defeat in their first big tournament, build back up and win it all in the end
