just in general, if you can offer a big first year, you just go big and flat. 0 reason to EVER be in 30 mil

if you have birds though you can just offer 18 mill flat for four years. its the not having bird rights so limited to 16.8 million thats causing the flat contract.

who the hell is ernie barrett? was Heat's starting SF I think efficient, but not a max he’s a stocks machine. Seems fine. Back end of the deal could be rough if he doesn’t get better. Looking at how many ppl Seattle signed last few yrs. This is like the jags paying Christian Kirk 😂

first year is the biggest thing, if you can offer more in the first year, its easy. tougher with Rookie Contract FA's since you cant offer more to start

barrett has stocks but yeah not a max guy. Maybe 7-10 max increases is fine.
