Welcome to the Red Rockett's anus review of the upcoming draft, with the teams that are gonna be making the picks and when they will. This is ofc the sniffin butts review! Without further ado let's get into the meat of who gets who and when. If you think a player doesn't belong here, remember, I like people to post and so sometimes I give a horrible take.*
Spurs
1. Woody Sauldsberry PF 6'7'' 220 23 B C D B B A Very good. Elite inside, strength, handles and midrange game. Some stocks. Solid rebounder.
Woody shouldn't be the number 1 pick, but he will be since this draft, while good, will not have any amazing stars. Woody though is the guy everyone will want in this draft, and will be an AllStar one day.
Raptors
2. Hot Rod Hundley PG 6'4'' 185 23 B- B- C B- C+ A Solid across the board. Can score inside and out. Solid handles. Solid steals. Good upside.
Hot Rod is never gonna be mistaken for Saint Cloud, but he is gonna be the PG of the Raptors as they try and reclaim their status as a top tier West team. Hot Rod will live up to his name and be a hot rod on the court, though he'll need some help on his handles.
Griz
3. Charlie Tyra C 6'8'' 230 22 C+ C D+ B B- A Good inside, midrange and strength. Solid stocks. Nice boards and handles.
A better version of Groza will be taken at the 3 spot, providing he gets his +25 correctly. It'll probably take a few seasons but he'll be a 20/10 and 2 to 1 stocks:TO once he hits his stride.
Mavs
4. Jim Krebs C 6'8'' 230 22 C C D+ B+ B+ A Very good jumpshot and strength. Good handles steals and blocks. Very good rebounder. Slow. Doesn't score well inside.
Krebs will try and help the Mavs recover from the horrible namdor trade. Picture perfect to replace him as the same style player.
Hornets via Pistons
5. Lyndon Lee SF 6'5'' 175 22 C A- C B+ C C Elite jumpshot, 3 point shot, handles, quickness. Very good stocks. Solid rebounder for a guard.
If it wasn't for Lee being a win now player, he'd be #1. No upside, but he will step in and push the Hornets over the hump and help them easily reset, next year. The best player coming into the draft, with day 1 ability. with the right +25 this guy will dominate for several seasons.
Suns
6. Harvey Schmidt SF 6'6'' 195 22 C+ B- C- C+ C+ B Can score inside and out. Solid handle and rebounds for a SF. Can get some steals too.
Everyone looking for a wing that can do it all without being much of a liability, and Schmidtis that guy. Low stocks, means he's a pretty good perimeter defender, and according to broph, the blocks really don't matter for a SF when it comes to shooting % against. It's mainly Perimeter that matters.
Raptors via Blazers
7. Kurt Englebert SF 6'5'' 195 21 C B C B C+ B Good jumpshot. Solid 3 point shot. Solid handles.
Kurt is gonna need just the right =25, but the kid has the markings to be a decent starter or a very good backup 1/2/3. Raptors get lucky of a Blazer lotto here, as they rebuild.
Hornets
8. Jim Palmer C 6'8'' 224 24 C+ C C- B+ B B Good inside, midrange, handles and strength. Very good post defender. Solid steals. Not athletic.
Jim is a dominating starting pitcher with a mean fastball, but apparently his daddy can play BB at an exceptional level. Jim could easily go higher in the draft if some teams draft to needs versus BPA. Jim will easily be a 10/10 guy if not a 15/10 guy with good shooting percentages. He wont affect opponents shot trajectory, but he will pick your pocket, and set up fast breaks.
Mavs via Warriors
9. Ray Radziszewski PF 6'5'' 210 22 C+ D+ D+ C B+ B Elite post defender. Good inside scoring, handles and rebounding. No stocks. Very slow.
Dallas goes with a solid backup 4/5 for Red and Krebs with this pick, though, maybe they go for need and grab someone else here. BPA though dictates Ray packs his bags and moves to Dallas.
Spurs via Celtics
10. Lennie Rosenbluth SF 6'4'' 190 24 C+ B+ C- B+ C B Can shoot, rebound and defend. Good ball handler. Limited stocks.
Royal gets lucky with a late lotto as Break gets CYd, and grabs a SF that isn't a liability and will drop 15 and board 7+ While he isn't a STOCKS guy with the D rating he should excel at perimeter D unless the scouts are just trolling us with amazing drive D.
Wizards
11. Win Wilfong PG 6'2'' 185 24 C+ C+ C+ B C B Pretty solid across the board. Should be a very good backup PG at least.
This guy might jump a few positions when it's all said ad done, as he might be the 2nd best PG in the draft. His +25 will be boom or bust for how good he ends up.
Magic
12. Alonzo Lewis SG 6'3'' 195 22 B- C C B C B Elite jumping and jumpshot. Also has elite handles and quickness. Very good stocks.
+25 his inside scoring and he'd be amazing. the elite Jumping means he wont shoot much, sadly. Why does the commish troll us with these almost amazing players? will be great as BU 1/2.
Bucks via 76ers
13. Larry Friend SG 6'4'' 185 22 C B+ C- B- D+ B Solid shooter. Decent inside game also. Solid handles and will get steals. Not a very good rebounder.
Backup 1/2, will get you points off the bench. Not the worst 13th pick ever, alas, is the 13th pick, so needs a great =25 and TC to make him memorable.
