1. Let’s get this one out the way, Ron Perry at the 2. Will he be worth it?
Play : I don't mind DB going after Perry but not at a full max, that's pretty wild. I'm sure he could've had him for a 3rd of that, maybe even lower. DB had Ashton Hagans for a few seasons, so maybe he can make this Ron Perry experiment work.
@cmart : No, what C- SG will be worth it at the 2??? Besides that his TOs will not magically go away at the 2. Look at Lamelo Ball at the 2 was still putting up 2 TOPG. A terrible contract for a mediocre player. Blinded by the ratings.
Skillz : No. Looks like a completely worthless player. Feel bad for DON! Not sure he'd be worth the MLE. Wouldn't even be comfortable with him as my emergency backup PG.
2. Did the Celtics make the right move letting Costello go?
Play : Thinking about this more, I believe he made the right move to let him go. He should've pushed harder during resignings to find a sign and trade partner tho.
@cmart : No. You should never let any player walk for free especially when you can probably get something of value for him. I maxed Costello, as well as many other people probably did. THat means there was interest in this player, dumb move that was made more on the GMs lack of interest in the league than anything else.
@cmart : Costello isn't great, but if the consensus is that he should have resigned Costello, than Beastly made a mistake. Anyone who doesn't have negative value upon signing is by definition worth the contract. It sounds like Beastly could have flipped him for a late 1st at least. Why not?
3. It’s early obviously but do the Wizards have a CY passing team?
Play : At this very moment(before FA Day 2 & 3) no he doesn't. I do believe he will make it though, he has all of his picks to make deals with and a solid core of Hous, Mel and Groat. You also have over 50% of the teams tanking out East. Jah will be fine.
@cmart : I dont think his team is very good, but there are so many people tanking that he can probably make playoffs with 39 wins. Hes gotta make some few moves but he should probably be alright if this were last year though hed be done for.
Skillz : Absolutely. Most of the league is tanking and JAH's team looks fine to me. People like to rag on JAH, but that team is nice.
4. Do the 76ers repeat as EC Champs?
Play : I believe so. If the Hornets get their shit together, I could see them giving Philly a run for it. The Magic just acquired DSC to pair with Schayes and Ramsey, they will all be in the mix as well. In the end though, I expect Philly to repeat, their roster is very good.
@cmart : I dont see why not, there are more tanking teams out East than last year and they didnt really make any moves to get worse and Bill Russell only got better so yeah.
Skillz : Probably not. They could, but they are not the favorites. I prefer the Bucks.
5. Do the Kings repeat as WC Champs?
Play : Kings need to add help up front for them to repeat as WC champs. They are the favorites out West though. Denver doesn't have enough to compete with them. Dallas needs a huge TC from Hot Rod and they need to add another big up front. If that happens, the Mavs could challenge them. The Rockets have a nice squad but it all depends on the development of Paxson this upcoming TC. Seattle is content on being a treadmill team, they pose no threat.
@cmart : Same answer as above, he didnt split up his team and the West is so bad that a tanking Los Angeles Clippers team went 9-3 in preseason.
Skillz : I'll say yes. The West is awful. That team is good.
6. Any shockers you saw in this past draft?
Play : No real shockers. I thought Shorty and Jimmy Smith would've gone higher. I guess you can say me taking Guy Rodgers at pick 3 was a shock since I took Hal Greer at #1. Guy Rodgers was the best player available IMO, so I had no choice but to take him. If I'm picking that high, I have to go with the best player available. There is no way you can pick based on need there.
@cmart : I havent paid any attention but Boo Ellis being so bad was definitely a shocker for me. I knew full well he had no blocking but didnt expect him to completely tank after TC and drop to C potential.
Skillz : I didn't look at the draft once unfortunately -- did not have the time.
7. Guess what the “conditions” that Wilt will end up having.
Play : something along the lines of beating Brian's 21 nut salute
@cmart : Probably that he can only play the 4 and 5 or something totally uninteresting like that. If its that he can play PG lol I think people would riot.
Skillz : Cannot play anywhere besides starting Center. Loses 10 potential if he's not the #1 option in your DC.
8. Rank the top 5 most valuable players in the league. Base it on whatever qualities you want.
1. Wilt even though he’s not in the league. I mean clearly everyone wants him
2. Bill Russ but hard to even value him because he will never be traded. Not sure if it makes sense how I said that but yeah
3. Hal Greer- recent top pick. Dude could be a machine. PG is also scarce
4. Bob Cousy- mvp and currently one of the more dominant players.
5. Elgin Baylor- great player. Pigs been busy so not as much talk about Elgin as there should be. A reb at SF yup!

9. We’ve been having issues with the boards lately. Any suggestions?
Play : Go checkout the proboards support forum to see what the issues are. I've checked there a few times and several other communities are having issues with their boards as well. I would hate to switch from proboards, so hopefully they are working on a solution.
@cmart : Stop being cheap and move to another forum even if we gotta pay! Or just take it to discord, its probably much easier and will be easier for people to follow.
Skillz : Haven't noticed. Proboards gets a bad wrap but it's easy to use!
10. What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been to?
Play : Colombia is the most beautiful country that I've been to. I was skeptical as fuck before going down there because all of that shit you see in tv shows, the news, etc. But Bogota, Medellin, and Cartagena are all beautiful cities. I really enjoyed my time there. I wanna go back to visit Barranquilla, Cali and Santa Marta once I stop being scared of Covid.
