Hornets (4) vs Pistons (3)
The Hornets beat the Pistons 4-3 in the first round series they had. Lets look at the games they played and recap this series. In game 1 the Hornets beat the Pistons 134-118. Jaron Walton lead the Hornets in scoring with 42 points. Baylor also had a good game with 30 points. Wah Wah Jones had a big 20 rebound game. The Pistons had Jack Twyman put up 41 points and Gallatin had 24 points and 3 blocks. Hornets beat the Pistons in game 2 134-113. Baylor had a big game for the Hornets with 42 points and Walton had 40 points. Lovellette had a big 5 block game. The Hornets had 3 players in double digit rebounds; Baylor (11), Lovellette (14) and Wah Wah (13). The Pistons couldn’t match the Hornets scoring. Twyman had 25 points to lead the Pistons in scoring. In game 3 the Pistons were able to beat the Hornets 118-111. Twyman and Saul had big scoring number at 31 points each. Hornets had 15 blocks as a team this game. Benjamin (4), Felix (4) and Gallatin (6). As usual though, Walton and Baylor had good scoring numbers for the Hornets. In game 4 the Hornets beat the Pistons 118-116. Hornets had three players in 20+ points. They also had 3 players in double digit rebounding. The Pistons played well too but in the end the Hornets were the better team. In game 5 the Pistons beat the Hornets 143-134. The Pistons had all but one player in double digit scoring. They were led by Saul in scoring at 33 points. Gallatin also had a big game with 8 blocks. For the Hornets Walton had 37 points and Baylor had 31. Pistons were able to beat the Hornets in game 6 137-129. Saul had 32 points and Twyman had 31. Pistons had 14 blocks as a team; Saul (2), Twyman (2), Gallatin (4) and Felix (5). In the final game of the series the Hornets pulled out with the win 144-115. It was a big blow out. Baylor led the Hornets with 42 points. Wah Wah Jones had a 4 block game. Twyman and Saul had 30+ points but it wasn’t enough as the Hornets won the series.
Hawks (4) vs Wizards (2)
The Hawks were able to beat the Wizards 4-2 in this first round series. Lets looks at the games they played. In game 1 the Wizards beat the Hawks 109-90. Wizards were led by Bob with 28 points and Payton had 24 points. Payton also had 6 blocks. Wiz also had Bob with 13 rebounds and Payton with 15. Hawks didn’t play well this game. In game 2 the Hawks were able to pull out a win at 125-110. Hawks were led by Newt with 37 points. Groza had 4 blocks and Noble had 3. Wizards played well but it was not enough for the Wiz. Groat played well with 31 points and Conley had 17 rebounds and 2 blocks. Kaftan had 5 blocks and Payton had 3. In game 3 the Wizards won 135-127. Wiz had all but one player in double digit scoring. They were led by Bob with 35 points. The Hawks played decently but it was not enough. Martin had 40 points and Noble had 28. Zeke had 7 blocks and 14 rebounds. Hawks were able to win game 4 134-132. It was a very close game. Noble had 34 points, Slater 28 and Alex 23. Zeke had 5 blocks. Wizards put up a fight but didnt win. They had Payton with 27 points and 6 blocks. In game 5 Hawks won 129-106. Newt led the Hawks with 40 points. Noble had 29 and Slater had 22. Zeke had 6 blocks. For the Wiz Payton had 24 points, 3 block and 12 rebounds but it was not enough. Hawks won game 6 to win the series 150-130. Newt had a huge 54 point game. Slater also had 45 points. The Wiz just didn't have enough to win the game. So the Hawks advanced to round 2.
Raptors (4) vs Magic (2)
The Raptors beat Magic 4-2 in the first round series. In game one the Magic beat Raptors 126-111. Cloud led the Magic with 32 points. Schayes had 8 blocks too for the Magic. Raptors had Bassala put up 35 points and 4 blocks with 21 rebound. Big numbers. But Magic got the win. Magic then won game 2 also. Cloud had 48 points and 12 rebounds. Schayes played well to with 27 points, 4 blocks and 14 rebounds. For the Raptors they had ZZ with 26 points. Gabriel had 23 point and Adrian had 21. The Raptors then won game 3 with 159-137. Gabriel had 40 points, ZZ had 35 and Bassala had 28. Adrian and Bill also put up 25 and 21. A lot of scoring this game for the Raptors. Magic had Cloud put up 58 points but it was not enough. The Raptors won game 4 138-130. Gabriel put up 38 points, Bassalla had 29 and Adrian 26. The Magic had Cloud with 48 but yet again it was not enough. Game 5 saw Raptors win again with 134-118. ZZ had 32 points and 14 assists. Also, 3 steals. Gabriel had 27 points and Krebs put up 24 rebounds and 9 blocks. Magic just didn’t have enough this game. Cloud had 22 points and Reiter had 17 rebounds and 6 blocks. Raptors won game 6 to win the series 128-118. Adrian led the Raptors with 27 rebounds. Gabriel also had 26 points. Three Raptors had double digit rebounds; Webb (17), Bassala (13) and Krebs (15). Webb had 7 blocks, Bassalla (3) and Krebs (7). Cloud had 40 points but it was not enough. The Raptors win this series.
Heat (4) vs Bucks (2)
The Heat beat the Bucks 4-2 in this first round match up. In game 1 the Bucks win 130-121. The Bucks were led by McMahon with 33 points and Lou had 33 also. Two players had big rebounding numbers Petit (21) and Amos (19). Amos also had 4 blocks and Armstrong had 3. Heat had Sharman put up 37 points and Elias had 34 but it was not enough. In game 2 Heat won 124-98. Sharman had a big 40 point game. Mel had 10 blocks plus 24 points. For the Bucks Petit put up 25 points but the rest of the Bucks players didn’t do much. At game 3 Bucks win 119-112. Petit had a 34 point and 22 rebound game with 4 blocks. Dwight had 26 points and Amos had 16 rebounds and 4 blocks plus 20 points. The Heat saw Sharman put up 34 points and Hook with 24 but it was not enough. Game 4 saw the Heat win 126-107. Mel had 29 points, 8 blocks and 17 rebounds to led the Heat. Elias had 26 points, Jerry (24) and Sharman (22). Zack had 4 blocks and Marques had 4 also. Bucks K.C. Jones played well but it was not enough. In game 5 the Heat won again 110-107. Elias led the team in scoring with 28 points. Sharman had 27. Mel put up 7 blocks and 10 rebounds. Dwight, Bucks, put up 37 points and Bob had 24 but the Heat end up winning game 5. Heat won game 6 to advance. Sharman had 48 points and Mel (25) and Elias (24). Bucks had three players in 30+ points but the Heat pull out the win and win the series.

Hornets had three players in 20+ points. They also had 3 players in double digit rebounding. The Pistons played well too but in the end the Hornets were the better team. In game 5 the Pistons beat the Hornets 143-134. The Pistons had all but one player in double digit scoring. They were led by Saul in scoring at 33 points. Gallatin also had a big game with 8 blocks. For the Hornets Walton had 37 points and Baylor had 31. Pistons were able to beat the Hornets in game 6 137-129. Saul had 32 points and Twyman had 31. Pistons had 14 blocks as a team; Saul (2), Twyman (2), Gallatin (4) and Felix (5). In the final game of the series the Hornets pulled out with the win 144-115. It was a big blow out. Baylor led the Hornets with 42 points. Wah Wah Jones had a 4 block game. Twyman and Saul had 30+ points but it wasn’t enough as the Hornets won the series.
Hawks (4) vs Wizards (2)
The Hawks were able to beat the Wizards 4-2 in this first round series. Lets looks at the games they played. In game 1 the Wizards beat the Hawks 109-90. Wizards were led by Bob with 28 points and Payton had 24 points. Payton also had 6 blocks. Wiz also had Bob with 13 rebounds and Payton with 15. Hawks didn’t play well this game. In game 2 the Hawks were able to pull out a win at 125-110. Hawks were led by Newt with 37 points. Groza had 4 blocks and Noble had 3. Wizards played well but it was not enough for the Wiz. Groat played well with 31 points and Conley had 17 rebounds and 2 blocks. Kaftan had 5 blocks and Payton had 3. In game 3 the Wizards won 135-127. Wiz had all but one player in double digit scoring. They were led by Bob with 35 points. The Hawks played decently but it was not enough. Martin had 40 points and Noble had 28. Zeke had 7 blocks and 14 rebounds. Hawks were able to win game 4 134-132. It was a very close game. Noble had 34 points, Slater 28 and Alex 23. Zeke had 5 blocks. Wizards put up a fight but didnt win. They had Payton with 27 points and 6 blocks. In game 5 Hawks won 129-106. Newt led the Hawks with 40 points. Noble had 29 and Slater had 22. Zeke had 6 blocks. For the Wiz Payton had 24 points, 3 block and 12 rebounds but it was not enough. Hawks won game 6 to win the series 150-130. Newt had a huge 54 point game. Slater also had 45 points. The Wiz just didn't have enough to win the game. So the Hawks advanced to round 2.
Raptors (4) vs Magic (2)
The Raptors beat Magic 4-2 in the first round series. In game one the Magic beat Raptors 126-111. Cloud led the Magic with 32 points. Schayes had 8 blocks too for the Magic. Raptors had Bassala put up 35 points and 4 blocks with 21 rebound. Big numbers. But Magic got the win. Magic then won game 2 also. Cloud had 48 points and 12 rebounds. Schayes played well to with 27 points, 4 blocks and 14 rebounds. For the Raptors they had ZZ with 26 points. Gabriel had 23 point and Adrian had 21. The Raptors then won game 3 with 159-137. Gabriel had 40 points, ZZ had 35 and Bassala had 28. Adrian and Bill also put up 25 and 21. A lot of scoring this game for the Raptors. Magic had Cloud put up 58 points but it was not enough. The Raptors won game 4 138-130. Gabriel put up 38 points, Bassalla had 29 and Adrian 26. The Magic had Cloud with 48 but yet again it was not enough. Game 5 saw Raptors win again with 134-118. ZZ had 32 points and 14 assists. Also, 3 steals. Gabriel had 27 points and Krebs put up 24 rebounds and 9 blocks. Magic just didn’t have enough this game. Cloud had 22 points and Reiter had 17 rebounds and 6 blocks. Raptors won game 6 to win the series 128-118. Adrian led the Raptors with 27 rebounds. Gabriel also had 26 points. Three Raptors had double digit rebounds; Webb (17), Bassala (13) and Krebs (15). Webb had 7 blocks, Bassalla (3) and Krebs (7). Cloud had 40 points but it was not enough. The Raptors win this series.
Heat (4) vs Bucks (2)
The Heat beat the Bucks 4-2 in this first round match up. In game 1 the Bucks win 130-121. The Bucks were led by McMahon with 33 points and Lou had 33 also. Elias had 26 points, Jerry (24) and Sharman (22). Zack had 4 blocks and Marques had 4 also. Bucks K.C. Jones played well but it was not enough. In game 5 the Heat won again 110-107. Elias led the team in scoring with 28 points. Sharman had 27. Mel put up 7 blocks and 10 rebounds. Dwight, Bucks, put up 37 points and Bob had 24 but the Heat end up winning game 5. Heat won game 6 to advance. Sharman had 48 points and Mel (25) and Elias (24). Bucks had three players in 30+ points but the Heat pull out the win and win the series.
