DB'S FIRST ROUND TC REVIEW
BOLD = MOVEMENT
1 Phoenix Suns
John Havlicek SG 6'5'' 203 21 B B A- C+ C+ A
John Havlicek SG 21 6'5'' 203 B A- A- B- C+ A
First overall pick. Obvious pick. Awesome addition to the Suns who just started their rebuild. Plus 3. He looks very nasty and will be a stud for many years in the league.
2 New York Knicks
Walt Bellamy C 6'11'' 225 22 B- C- C- B B+ A
Walt Bellamy C 22 6'11'' 225 B C- C- B+ A- A
Obvious pick as well. Stud. Real Sturdy big fella. Knicks pair up Oscar Robertson with Bellamy and are starting to build something in New York again. They also pick another big man later on as well who looks pretty good. Nice TC from Walt. +3 Well done.
3 Boston Celtics
Don Kojis SF 6'5'' 215 22 B- B+ C- C+ C+ A
Don Kojis SF 22 6'5'' 215 B+ A- C- C+ C+ B
Interesting stuff. This is where the draft starts to get interesting after the two obvious picks. Don goes +3 to his scoring but down in scouted potential. He is going to be a big time scorer it looks like. Gotta love seeing that. I don't know how good this Celtics squad is but they gonna need all the scoring help they can get. Looks like a good pick at 3.
4 Detroit Pistons (from Sonics)
Ray Scott PF 6'9'' 215 23 B C D+ B B A
Ray Scott PF 23 6'9'' 215 B C D+ B B+ A
Another Sturdy boi. This is a good pick by the Pistons. Ray looks like a good piece for the rebuilding Pistons. They need a lot of help. One solid big will definitely not be enough but this is a good piece to have. Nice pick.
5 Los Angeles Lakers
Don Nelson SF 6'6'' 210 21 B- C+ C- B C+ A
Don Nelson SF 21 6'6'' 210 B B- C- B+ C+ A
DON! My main man Nanz with a great selection in Don Nelson who shows up with a plus 3! Love seeing that. I hear Nanz was crying he had a bad tc! What gives brother?
6 New Orleans Hornets
Johnny Egan PG 5'11'' 180 22 C B+ C+ C C- A
Johnny Egan PG 22 5'11'' 180 C A- C+ C C- B
Netted 0 but going up outside is nice. Doesn't look like much though at the 6th pick. Might have been a reach here. Hornets are rebuilding under Lums and need a lot of work. Hopefully some of their picks pan out here but right now this guy doesn't seem like much.
7 Dallas Mavericks
Bill Bridges PF 6'6'' 228 22 C+ C C- B B+ B
Bill Bridges PF 22 6'6'' 228 B- C C- B+ A- A
Wow. plus 4. Nice pick for Brian. Bill Bridges eh. Should be interesting to see how he sims but this guy looks like a great pick at the 7 spot.
8 Indiana Pacers
Kevin Loughery SG 6'3'' 190 21 C+ B+ B+ C C- A
Kevin Loughery SG 21 6'3'' 190 C+ A- A- C+ C B
OOOOhhhhhh interesting. Plus 4 on ratings and down in scouted. Well well well. At the 8th spot this is very intriguing. I like this pick and I'm curious how much volume he will have. Good rebounder I take it? We shall see.
9 New York Knicks (from Pistons via SEA)
Bevo Nordmann C 6'10'' 225 22 C D+ C- B+ B B
Bevo Nordmann C 22 6'10'' 225 C D+ C- A- B B
Knicks went big this draft and it looks like they made two GREAT picks. Bevo won't give you much scoring but if he keeps his TO's down, hits his FTs and has some stocks Walt and him will be a fierce duo. Nice.
10 Washington Wizards
Tom Meschery SF 6'6'' 215 23 C+ C+ C- B C+ A
Tom Meschery PF 23 6'6'' 215 B- C+ C- B+ C+ A
Came in as a SF moved to PF. Seems like a smart decision. I think there will be a pick later by the Hornets that I feel Lums should do the same. I don't think anyone has really missed yet. Nice solid pick here should be intriguing to see if he's fit for the 4.
11 Portland Trail Blazers
Jack Turner SG 6'5'' 200 22 C+ B+ C- B- C B
Jack Turner SG 22 6'5'' 200 C+ A- C- B C A
Well done Donald. Nice to grab a good piece when you didn't start off the season tanking. Jack hopefully can become a centerpiece for the Blazers for many seasons!
12 Indiana Pacers (from Grizz)
Tony Jackson SF 6'4'' 200 19 C+ B- C C C A
Tony Jackson SF 19 6'4'' 200 C+ B+ C C C A
Interesting plus 2 to outside. Kept his A potential. Seems like a solid pick and only 19 years old. High potential? Good selection.
13 Seattle Sonics (from Hawks via NYK)
Chris Smith C 6'6'' 225 22 C+ C+ C- C+ C+ A
Chris Smith C 22 6'6'' 225 C+ C+ D+ C+ C+ B
-2. Looks like a bad pick at 13. I think Spencer said mid across or something. Doesn't look like he is much of anything but who knows.
14 Phoenix Suns (from Jazz)
Al Butler PG 6'2'' 175 23 C B+ B- A- D+ B
Al Butler PG 23 6'2'' 175 C- A- B- B+ D+ C
Ready now PG that has no potential and can't rebound well. He seems like a fine backup. But that's about it.
15 Miami Heat (from Wolves)
Jake Egan SF 6'5'' 220 21 B- C C- B- B- B
Jake Egan SF 21 6'5'' 220 B C+ C- B- B- C
Plus 2 to offensive ratings and down in scouted potential. Not sure about this one. Seems like a backup/bust but who knows. Might just be a backup big if Kobe moves him to PF potentially. Nice his scoring ratings went up.
16 New Orleans Hornets (from Nets)
Jerry Graves SF 6'6'' 190 23 B- C- C A- B- B
Jerry Graves SF 23 6'6'' 190 B C- C A- B- B
I wanted Jerry. Nice pick here for lums. This might be better than his first pick. He should really move him to PF and he should have done it before the TC happened. Missed Opp there. This guy has PF written all over him.
17 Dallas Mavericks (from Spurs)
George Patterson C 6'8'' 230 22 B- C- C- B B- B
George Patterson C 22 6'8'' 230 B- C- C- B B C
Might be an ok backup. That's about it. Maybe there is something under the hood like stocks.
18 Portland Trail Blazers (from Nuggets)
Dave Voss SF 6'5'' 205 22 C+ B+ C- C C+ C
Dave Voss SF 22 6'5'' 205 C+ A- C- C C+ B
Supposedly has Stocks and can score. We shall see. Always nice to see a +2. I need to camp his ass.
19 Seattle Sonics (from Clippers)
Ted Luckenbill PF 6'6'' 205 22 C C- D+ B- B+ C
Ted Luckenbill PF 22 6'6'' 205 C C- C- B- A- C
I think this guy is who he says he is. He can rebound well. Maybe similar vibes to Darren Halloway. He might have some stocks and could be a useful player? Who knows. No potential though.
20 Seattle Sonics (from 76ers)
Bert Price SF 6'4'' 190 22 C+ B- C C+ C+ C
Bert Price SF 22 6'4'' 190 C+ B C C+ C+ C
Sonics have so many picks lol. This guy looks bad though lol.
21 New York Knicks (from Heat)
Frank Burgess SG 6'2'' 188 26 A- C C- C D+ C
Frank Burgess SG 26 6'2'' 188 A- C D+ C C- C
Weird player lol. Looks like he can score inside! No outside game for a shooting guard. Looks like a bust.
22 Atlanta Hawks (from Kings)
Donnie Butcher PG 6'2'' 200 25 C+ C- B B- C B
Donnie Butcher PG 25 6'2'' 200 C+ C B B C B
Solid backup PG. I think he has stocks. He can rebound well. Might be similar to that guy that was in the league several years back that was a 2nd round pick. Forget his name. Nice!
23 New York Knicks (from Bucks) (NOW ON HORNETS)
Larry Siegfried PG 6'3'' 190 22 C B+ C+ C+ C- B
Larry Siegfried PG 22 6'3'' 190 C B C+ C+ C- B
Went down outside. Kept his potential. Not sure there is anything here.
24 Seattle Sonics (from Warriors)
Bruce Spraggins SF 6'5'' 188 22 B- B- C B- C C

25 Golden State Warriors (from Rockets)
Cleo Hill SG 6'1'' 185 23 B- C C+ B+ C C
Cleo Hill SG 23 6'1'' 185 B C C+ B+ C C
