Let's dive right into it lads
1. Miami Heat - Chet Walker SF 6'6'' 216 22 B- B- C- C+ C+ A
Spencer's notes: Elite jumpshot. Good handles and quickness. Solid inside scorer, rebounder and stocks guy. Upside.
I'm pretty sure based of placement of seeding that the Heat are the projected first overall pick. I think you can go Chet or potentially Lucas with this pick if you're feeling frisky. I won't see which way I'm leaning! Having said that, Chet looks like an ELITE SF. The notes are very nice. Love seeing upside at the end of it. Seems like a guy that will dominate in this league for many years. Good scorer, low handles, rebounds well and has stocks. What more can you ask from a number 1 pick? Heat get their Stud year 1 in the rebuild.
2. Atlanta Hawks - Jerry Lucas PF 6'8'' 230 22 B C C- B A- A
Spencer's notes: Elite jumpshot, rebounding and strength. Good inside scorer. Solid stocks and handles.
Well, would you look at that! DBW gets his guy that he would take number 1 (based off his comments). Jerry Lucas is the best big of the class. Has an elite jumpshot, an elite rebounder and an elite strength. Very good scorer that will probably be over 20 PPG and give you stocks with low handles. Going to probably be a A+ rebounder. Great pick.
3. New Orleans Hornets - Dave DeBusschere PF 6'6'' 220 22 B- C- C- B B+ A
Spencer's notes: Good inside scorer, post defense and rebounder. Solid handles, jumpshot and quickness. Some stocks.
Lum's needs a lot of help on his roster. I think he goes safe here. Picking Dave Debusschere and walks away feeling good about this pick. I don't think this guy will be a truly ELITE big in this league but I think he will be very good for many seasons. He's going to do a double-double every night and hopefully can improve his stocks for Lums. I have no problem with this pick I just don't know if the potential is there.
4. Portland Trail Blazers - Gus Johnson PF 6'6'' 230 24 B+ C D+ C B+ A
Spencer's notes: Elite inside scorer and jumpshot. Good handles, quickness, strength and rebounding. Limited stocks, poor passer.
Limited Stocks worse than Some Stocks? I guess so right? I think Doland goes with Gus Johnson here. Love seeing a couple CATS with Elite in them. Good handles, quickness, strength and rebounding. Work on his stocks and you have a very good big man. This is a big man class. Grab them while you can. I think Portland is going to be very happy with this pick. I see something here.
5. Los Angeles Lakers - Zelmo Beaty C 6'9'' 225 23 B+ C C- C B A
Spencer's notes: Elite inside scorer. Good jumpshot and strength. Good jumpshot, posy defense and rebounder.
I think the only reason that Zelmo falls to 5 is because Spencer commented that he had poor stocks. That will definitely scare off some GMs. I think though this guy can be a really good player in this league. I like Gus a little more than Zelmo though. I think Zelmo needs more work but can definitely be productive in BBS. You gotta like coming in with those CATS and based off his notes he will definitely score and be a double double big man. He just won't light up stat sheet.
6. Phoenix Suns - Leroy Ellis C 6'10'' 210 22 C C C- B A- B
Spencer's notes: Elite rebounder and strength. Good jumpshot. Solid post defender. Some stocks.
A case can definitely be made for Leroy going higher. Andrew needs a big and Leroy definitely checks that box. I'm not sure how good or bad his handles are but he looks ready to play and contribute in his rookie season. Already an A- defender is really nice. He has stocks and and it looks like they're better than Zelmo and Gus. So that is intriguing. I don't love his offensive game but he will knock down his free throws. This is a good pick at 6th.
7. Dallas Mavericks - Terry Dischinger SF 6'7'' 189 22 B- B+ C- C C B
Spencer's notes: Good inside scorer, jumpshot, 3 point shot, handles and quickness. Solid rebounder. Poor defender.
Dallas has some good pieces and they need some more scoring. Terry looks like it definitely fills a need. They need some offensive pieces and I think Terry is going to be a very good scorer in this league. Not sure if the volume is there and the defense is definitely not but he can rebound, score and handle the ball which is nice.
8. Atlanta Hawks (Memphis Grizzlies) - Len Chappell PF 6'8'' 240 21 C D+ C- B+ B- B
Spencer's: Elite post defender and strength. Solid rebounds and handles. Some stocks. Extremely limited offensively.
As we get deeper in the lotto this is where things get really interesting and can go any which way. I have no idea on the direction that the Hawks want to go here with their second pick but I imagine they will take BPA. Len looks like that. He looks like he can be a very good big man in this league that will be a very good defender. I think you can work on his stocks and rebounding and he will definitely be a 5th starter on a lot of teams.
9. Phoenix Suns (Detroit Pistons) - Howie Montgomery SF 6'5'' 220 22 B- C+ C B C+ B
Spencer's notes: Elite handles and quickness. Solid inside scorer, jumpshot, post defense, strength and jumping. Okay rebounder, some stocks.
Like I said many different ways you can go here. Andrew should probably grab another big man but I think a flier like Howie is intriguing. We've seen guys develop nicely with these ratings. Elite handles and quickness coming in is good. He could be a very good scorer if you AC the hell out of him. I like that he has some stocks too. Might want to hammer his 3pt shooting.
10. Indiana Pacers - Cornell Green SG 6'3'' 205 22 C B C- C C A
Spencer's notes: Good jumpshot. Solid 3 point shot, handles and quickness.
I think the Pacers land a huge asset here. They need win now pieces as they are in their Contract Year but Cornell Green is going to be a nice trade piece for them. Trade him off and get some win now veteran talent. I like Green's notes and how he has C rebounding. Someone will definitely want this guy and you will definitely be able to get something nice for him.
11. Portland Trail Blazers (Seattle Super Sonics) - Gene Wiley C 6'10'' 210 25 C C C- B+ B+ C
Spencer's notes: Good rebounder. Good strength. Good handles. Good post defender. Good jumpshot. Poor stocks.
Risky pick?!?! Potentially but I like Gene's notes and the ratings he's coming into the league. I want some big fellas and Gene looks like another nice piece to the puzzle. I think I was thinking of a few guys here but I might have to pick Gene. Good in a lot of CATS. Poor stocks definitely hurts him but maybe I can try to hammer them and see what happens. Gotta hope he has some potential.
12. Washington Wizards - Chico Vaughn PG 6'2'' 190 22 C+ B C+ C+ D+ B
Spencer's notes: Good jumpshot, handles, quickness. Solid inside, jumpshot and steals.
No idea what is going on with the Wizards and rarely look at their roster but let's go with the Best PG? of this class. Not really a backcourt draft at all. Very few point guards and shooting guards. It's interesting to see. But Chico could be a solid contributor in this league. If he is efficient, doesn't turn it over, I think you could build around Chico. Plus I love his name.
13. Boston Celtics - Jack Jackson SF 6'4'' 190 22 C C+ C C+ C- A
Spencer's notes: Extremely mediocre with huge upside.
Not sure what Beastly was doing holding onto his first round pick and falling just short of 42 wins is very sad and depressing. He should have at least traded off this asset and tried to get a little better. I'm sure that was definitely an option. Anyway, our main man Ahsan comes back into the mix and takes over the Celtics. Oh how we have missed this beautiful married man! Welcome back! I think with a freebie year? coming up and having his pick from the previous GM he takes a flier on Jackson here. Huge upside probably means 100 potential. Try to hammer ACS/RCS into before TC and see what happens. It's a fun first pick.
1. Miami Heat - Chet Walker SF 6'6'' 216 22 B- B- C- C+ C+ A
Spencer's notes: Elite jumpshot. Good handles and quickness. Solid inside scorer, rebounder and stocks guy. Upside.

Spencer's notes: Good inside scorer, post defense and rebounder. Solid handles, jumpshot and quickness. Some stocks.
