suffering from bad anxiety today, might get back on those SSRIs  they were doing great but we decided to get off them since I was feeling so much better....... sucks hate taking medicine and their is such stigma on mental health and especially "happy pills" but i dont care they work for me |

GG getting something to help with it. dealt with since 18, ive done all sorts of talk therapy... always was reluctant to try meds and things like that due to people saying itd make you a zombie youd be on them for life etc etc but had a really bad summer about 2 or 3 years ago and finally tried it... felt like a completely different person, ina good way, I could finally think clearly, not everything gave me full on stress, more social etc. I got off it a few months ago, and was doing fine but I felt something wasnt right the last few weeks and have gotten pretty bad anxietty this week so Im getting back on it, but im going to try to get some talk therapy so when i do come off it again ill be more ready this time |

I think theres just a really bad stigma out there in regards to mental heath and medication still, and I think lots of people like me take so long to get help because we feel like its a cop out to take medicine.. but its like having bad allergies, do you just deal with the allergies knowing you can take a pill?

now dont get me wrong, I think if you want to get on SSRIS go to a psychiatrist, not your GP... I would never accept that type of drug from any GP.
