I will tell you things I like (BLUE) and things I don’t like (RED) about your team. Let’s end it with the Western Conference. Here we go!
Memphis Grizzlies
I like that Skillz is back and that they will have max cap space!
I don’t like to see the lack of quality on this roster. For being in year 2, this isn’t my favorite situation.
Denver Nuggets
I like that CC has been holding firm and just keeping Cousy throughout his career. I don’t mind keeping a player for a long time, but I feel like you should move on at some point.
I don’t like that this team is under .500 with the type of year Cousy is having. It’s pretty demoralizing. This is a team that is soooo in need of a rebuild obviously.
Dallas Mavericks
I like that Brian didn't bail on his CY year this go around. He stayed in, and looks to pretty much be reset with trading his futures either. Kudos to him in a competitive West.
I don’t like the long term situation of this team at all. If I’m Brian, I literally deal mostly everyone and rebuild. This isn’t a team to stick with at all.
San Antonio Spurs
I love Nate Thurmond already. He’s doing nearly 4:1.2 stock:turnover ratio in his rookie campaign. Absolute stud once the offensive game catches up.
I don’t particularly like Bob Boozer. He can score as a big, but it’s not enough to cover his rebounding and stock:turnover ratio imo. I also don’t love the Ben Warley types at PG. Just not my type of PG.
Houston Rockets
I love Richie Guerin and I’m intrigued to see what type of return Broph gets in return.
I don’t really like Moe or Beaty. They just don’t seem to really impact winning the way you’d like.
Minnesota Timberwolves
I LOVE Bailey Howell. He can play at the 3 or the 4. Really good player to have on your team. The duo between him and Jerry West are special. This team is going to win 60+ for the first time in franchise history.
I don’t know if I like the recent deal to acquire Yates. I guess it’ll all depend on how much potential he has left and if he’ll re-sign. I just would’ve preferred a guy that was locked up. I think Eddy could’ve done better with that package, but maybe I’m wrong.
Utah Jazz
I loved the Cloud acquisition which should make them a really tough team to out rebound in the playoffs. The LaRusso deal was silly good, too.
I don’t like that they don’t have another top scoring option aside from Cloud. This will make it tough for them to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Sacramento Kings
I absolutely love what I’m seeing from Larry Jones and Vince Brewer in their rookie seasons. Since this next draft isn’t particularly strong at the wing positions, I’m glad I grabbed two guys that are looking very promising.
I don’t like the Willie Naulls contract as it will prevent us from having 2 maxes available for us. Taking on his contract did help us land Vince Brewer, though.
Los Angeles Clippers
I like Rod Thorn and what I’m seeing early thus far. Next season will be interesting to see how he truly pans out.
I don’t love the overall roster, though. Gus Johnson and Heinsohn seem redundant. Gambee is fine, but he isn’t a star. I don’t know. Greeme was better off moving some of these guys and tanking.
Los Angeles Lakers
I like Barnett and Horace. Both are extremely quality players who will give the Lake Show a real chance at making a nice run this year.
I don’t like the team’s financial situation if Dolph doesn’t retire. This will put Lawz in an extremely difficult spot to re-sign Attles and Horace Walker.
Golden State Warriors
I like Wilt? I mean, it’s hard to come up with more than that for this stagnant unit right this minute.
I don’t like Tony Davis on that contract as a big man. He doesn’t rebound well, and his stock:turnover ratio is beyond putrid. If he was an SF, there would probably be some hope there. I also don’t like Monk at this point. Think those guys really made a bad decision when they chose him over Eddy Mac.
Phoenix Suns
I obviously love Havs. He’s stocky, an elite rebounder at the 2, and can score like crazy. The only improvement that is needed for him is to be more efficient shooting the basketball. That’s it.
I don’t like those Em Bryant type of PGs, and I think that’s going to hurt Andrew come playoff time. It’s just hard to win with that type of PG when you’re going against the Hal Greer’s, Guy Rodger’s, Jerry West’s of the BBS landscape.
Seattle Supersonics
I like Jim Paxson a ton, but more so at SG now. I don’t think I love him at the 3 with his rebounding slipping and his inside scoring being a tad lower, too. Really solid wing. Jr. did a good job of potentially resetting without his pick. He should be able to tear it down in the offseason.
I don’t like this team’s frontcourt. It’s just not good enough which is why they’ve probably had trouble winning games consistently even with dynamic and efficient scorers (Paxson/Rochelle/Smith) on their roster. Lack of blocks and overall rebounding has hurt them.
Portland Trailblazers
I like that Don was able to keep Chet Walker during his CY (although Nanz stepping out certainly helped). He looks like he could be a real problem if that outside develops.
I don’t like this team’s depth whatsoever. I think that’s what has ultimately made this a bumpy finish. That bench is simply not good enough for the most part.
Enjoy!
