I will tell you things I like (BLUE) and things I don’t like (RED) about your team.
New York Knicks
I loved the Oscar/Bellamy/Embry trio. I thought trading Embry or Bellamy for a stud wing was the next move to set them up for some title runs.
I don’t like the lack of a 3 on this team. Mike will need to figure that position out so this squad can take the next steps. Either way, Mike has some solid picks to improve that aspect.
Miami Heat
I really like McCoy McLemore. People will probably ask me why I didn’t take him, but I thought Larry Jones might potentially have the higher upside. Plus I thought he’d not win me as many games in year 1 either whereas McCoy would since he was ready to roll.
I don’t really love this roster entering CY. Obviously Kobe will be a player in FA with cap space, and will have his firsts to offer in deals, but this could be tougher than expected for him. I’m very interested to see how he navigates through his CY.
Boston Celtics
I like that Ahsan has some young pieces as he enters his second year of tanking. Nelson, Kojis, and Brown could be something.
By the same token, I don’t know if I really love Kojis. His stock:turnover ratio is not good, and he has B- defense. He needs some TC improvements to get to where Ahsan wants him to be.
New Jersey Nets
I like that Marty has opened up his cap space entirely this season. Once he lost LaRusso, this was always going to be a lost season for him.
I don’t like Willie Jones. He certainly isn’t playable at PG, and he really isn’t a net positive as a SG either. Not a good player.
Washington Wizards
I like that Break is tanking? He has max cap space which is always a good thing for a rebuilding team. Seems solid.
I don’t like that there isn’t a foundational piece on this roster or just any potential draft picks worth a shit aside from their own. This seems like it’ll take Break right to CY once again if he doesn’t have strong luck in FA/Draft.
Philadelphia 76ers
I like how perfect of a tanking big man Angelo Lombardi is! Seriously, go look at that dude’s numbers. Perfect for the tank!
I don’t really love tanking with a talent like Bill Russell. Just seems like a waste, but with Game’s situation, I guess I get it.
Orlando Magic
I like Mel Counts, and think he’s a season away from being absolute quality for this Magic roster.
I don’t like Tart. Sure he will score the ball a ton and with efficiency, but with C defense and C- rebounding, good luck winning with him in the starting lineup.
Cleveland Cavaliers
I LOVE Johnny Green. One of the best defensive bigs in BBS. Man has a 5.1:0.8 stock:turnover ratio. Absurd stuff.
I don’t like Jerry Mullen and Rayford Wells with their contracts. They’re both bench guys getting paid as starters. Not great.
Indiana Pacers
I love that Lyndon Lee and Newt Jones wing duo. Absolute studs at putting the basketball in the hoop while never turning it over. Fun group!
I don’t like the bench whatsoever. If Styro was around or more engaged, then he could really put this team into title contention with some minor fixes.
Detroit Pistons
I like Swede Halbrook. Excellent defensive big who is certainly going to make a difference on any good team.
I don’t like Adrian Smith as a starter. Yes, he can score in bunches and score efficiently. He doesn’t turn it over either. However, the deficit he causes you on the glass is a killer.
Chicago Bulls
I absolutely love Maurice Stokes who is the rebounding king…which says a lot considering he has dudes like Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain in the same league.
I don’t like Hitch being a starter on a team with massive title hopes. I feel like his profile isn’t good enough when you have to go against the big guns like the Raptors, Cavs, etc.
Toronto Raptors
I absolutely love the core of this team. They can make a serious little run here with Guy Rodgers, Jack Twyman, and Krebs as the core of this grouping.
I don’t like the backup perimeter players on this team. Aside from that, can’t really nitpick anything else.
Atlanta Hawks
I like how aggressive DBW was and made this the most convincing CY season of all time as he broke the record for wins. Impressive stuff.
I don’t love to see Lucas get worse efficiency-wise shooting the basketball after having such a nice rookie season. I would’ve wanted to see him clear 45% and 85% from the line in his Sophomore campaign. I’m sure he’ll be just fine moving forward, though.
Milwaukee Bucks
I really liked the Sessums move to sure up the depth issues back there. That was a smart move by Andy!
I don’t particularly love this wing duo. Beck isn’t good enough to carry Hicks who isn’t giving you remotely anything on offense.
New Orleans Hornets
I absolutely love the Ramsey/Hagan wing duo. Really fun and stocky duo there.
By the same token, I also don’t know if I love Hagan at the 3 like someone else mentioned. I think Ramsey and Hagan should be flipped in order to bring the best out of them.
Enjoy!
