He's in the same class as Wentz and Watson, both of whom got $40M per.
He's better than Cousins who got $30M per (with all $90M fully guaranteed over 3)...

Dak didn't risk his body for the team. He still received 31mil this season. He had a chance to lockup generational money but chose to take the tag. His fault. $31M this season is great BUT a new contract should have given him well over $100M in guaranteed money. He turned down $35M per, not sure how much of the deal was guaranteed (which is the more important part). Hard to say that he should have signed the deal as idk the full details of the contract (particularly the amount guaranteed) |

I hate the whole franchise tag concept.
Their contracts is over but they can't hit the open market and forced to hold out and not get paid or risk it on a one year deal.
