1. How has your offseason gone thus far?
Dream's Team - Not too bad. Re-signed Reggie Harding and signed Ludenbill for big depth. We also drafted two promising 2nd round picks to camp as well. We will need to compete again since we are without our first round pick.
RexLuthor - Ehh My offseason has been lackluster. First we dropped in the lotto from the number spot to 3rd in the draft. Pain!! FA was also a doodoo. Lots of negatives but one bright spot was bring Earl Man back. Hopefully we can bring some talent to play alongside of him
chipper - 1. Fantastic. I got Lucas, and really rounded out my starters. TC went well IMO, so offseason was a success.
2. With two teams in CY, how much confidence do you have in both?
Lasagna and tears of failure - Ryan and Royal, surprised to see both of them here, but Royal consistently manages to reset so I see him doing the same. The west wasn’t overly strong, and one of the Playoff teams is headed to a rebuild, so pretty sure both make it.Dream's Team - Both are in great shape after their signings and trades. Two new teams in the west playoffs next year.
RexLuthor - Nuggets are in. They have made some strong moves with acquisition of Peewee, Combs, Nelson, and Yates. Pairing them with Pete and Cowens puts them in a favorable spot. Possibly even a contender. Now for the Spurs, they have a tougher road ahead of them. They haven't made many moves thus far so they might have a long road ahead of them. The west is pretty bad, but a season can change that.
chipper - 2. They’ll both make it easily. West is easier right now than the East- a lot of parity and then a dropoff. They’ll be fine.
3. What FA signing shocked you the most?
Lasagna and tears of failure - Don Chaney to a 7 yr contract that gets worse every yearDream's Team - At first Jasper Wilson but stocky bigs are valuable so it made sense to pay him at all costs. But pretty much all signings look fair to me.
RexLuthor - "2054 181 Bucks Sign SG Glen Combs for $40,500,000 over 3 years." Mr. Bucket. Bucks got him on a great deal. I know I over looked him but it seems like many other GMs did so as well.
chipper - 3. Moore- although the Pacers got back under pretty quickly. Still, I was surprised at the size of the contract.
4. The Sonics won the title last season. Do you believe they will repeat and why?
Dream's Team - Don’t see why not. Their trio should’ve won multiple titles by now but last season proved they’ll be a threat for more years to come.
RexLuthor - Best team in the league. I do believe they will repeat but Nuggets with their new players can possibly give them a run of their money. On the east I feel like DET can also be a threat as well.
chipper - 4. It’s REALLY hard to repeat- but the Sonics have as good a core as anyone to do it. Plus, as a Hawks fan, I adore Lou Hudson.
5. Give me your way to early predictions for the WCF this season
Dream's Team - Seattle – Wolves
RexLuthor - I said it above but I think it'll be Sonics v Nuggets but don't count out Dallas either. They almost knocked off the Sonics having them on the ropes 2-0. So look out for them boys as well.
chipper - 5. Kings surprise people, and the Sonics repeat. And the Spurs contend even tho ashes is sad about his TC. And broph finally makes another trade, his first since the Larry Jones for Ron Boone, Ron Williams, and two Rockets firsts.
6. Which Western Conference team has the best outlook in your eyes for the next 5 seasons?
Dream's Team - Seattle as long Barry-Hudson-Dampier are still together.
RexLuthor - Nuggets. I might be giving Royal too much love here but too much young talent on the team for me to hate.
chipper - 6. It’s the Sonics until anyone proves otherwise. Keep that core together and they’re fine.
7. While the East has no CY teams, what team is heading towards a potential CY exit?
Dream's Team - Doubt any of them are cy’d worthy. Each gm in their conference are very good. Let’s give it 1-2 more years to see who will look vulnerable.
RexLuthor - Most likely won't happen especially but because they're in the East anything is possible but the Cavs need to make some moves if they want to stick around.
chipper - 7. Idk. I don’t pay attention to the East. Looks like the closest is the Cavs, but svedda, while he can be a total dick, is a great GM and won’t let them get close to that.
8. In your opinion, who is the best player in BBS history? Or your favorite if you prefer.
Dream's Team - Deveux St Cloud. I think he won the most ships in this league. Dude did it all.
RexLuthor - This question isn't for me. but if I could remember Devereux St. Cloud was a beast when I first came in and won a couple of championship
chipper - 8. Devereaux St Cloud deserves some love- his stats were insane.
9. I don’t know if Lums is eventually coming back but I’ll add him anyways. Next open team. Marry, Fuck or Kill Marty, Break or Lums for the next team.
Dream's Team - I think the next open team will come out of the west and Marty will be the next gm. He’s show interest of coming back the last couple weeks.
RexLuthor - Marry Lums because he's always here for you. Fuck Marty because Fuck em that's why. Sorry Break but I gotta kill you because you never around.
chipper - 9. Marry Lums, Fuck Break, Kill Marty. Mostly because I don’t understand the premise of it in general.
10. Tell me something interesting about yourself.
Love rock music and have seen over 100 shows. Back in the day living in Miami - Ft Lauderdale, probably would go to a concert every other weekend, as all the stars came through town.
Dream's Team - I play acoustic guitar as a hobby.
RexLuthor - I once bowled a 244 in my bowling heyday. I still got it. I think. Definitely can give every GMs in here the business in bowling.
chipper - 10. Nothing about myself per se, but my great-uncle won an Oscar? Does that count?
