Josh Smith in real life wasn't terrible with turnovers- he just SUCKED when it came to 3-point decision making It go to the point whenever he stood outside and took a three, you could LITERALLY hear the crowd yell "NOOOOOO" because it would always brick Amazingly, Mike f'n Woodson was the only coach who got him to listen and stop jacking 3s. He turned it over an incredible amount for a moderately high volume wing he was a fun, bad player. You can make him very good in a lot of categories or you can emphasize his flaws. Either is fair imo |

Thing is- I loved Smoove- he was just so damn frustrating. All the talent in the world, and defensively was incredible. Dunking was off the charts. If he ever HAD developed a good jump shot, and improved his post game to an elite level instead of just good, could have been one of the best players in the league. Instead- was just a very good player with some fun highlights to remember.

Either is fair imo Right, I was more referring to losing the ball out of bounds or off the dribble or bad passing when talking about turnovers- wasn't as bad as others I've seen. But when it comes to his 3 point shot? That was an automatic turnover every game. |

If the Hawks hadn't fucked up by picking Marvin and had picked either Chris Paul or Deron Williams at #2 that year (AND WE ALL KNEW IT WAS THE WRONG PICK BEFORE THE DRAFT EVEN HAPPENED- FUCK YOU BILLY KNIGHT. All of us at the draft party that night said we need a point guard, and Mike Woodson got up to the podium and called Marvin "we think he's like Kevin Garnett" and we instantly knew we were screwed so hard), then lobs to Smith would have been epic. Smith would have been a much better player if he ever had a consistently great PG running things.
