what are your plans for your team this season?
I went into the off-season wanting to build a playoff team. Unfortunately, I got screwed in FAand somehow I didn't sign the 2 MAX players that I expected to be on my roster opening night. After the first sim I received a random PM from Nanz titled DOC and the rest is history. My plans then turned to rebuilding after the Sixers trade. Hopefully I can somehow get a high lotto to trade for a vet in the offseason.
Who do you see in the finals this year?
The contenders out west are the Sonics, Kings and Mavs. I've been a big fan of the Sonics the past few seasons, good to see they finally pulled it off. I expect the Sonics to come out the West again, JR needs to find another big who can get a few blocks a night though IMO.
I love the Mavericks front court, but I'm not sure if Brian can put together a good DC to win it all. I'm still confused on why he added Don Adams to the Bill Russell trade. Brian needs to figure out his SG position and look to swap TVA for a shooting guard. Moving TVA to SF fucked him up. Not a fan of Larry Brown at SG as well.
Kings need to add a legit 3rd big and a potential 6th man on the wings. I hate that Chipper is only at 71mil. He should always try to utilize all of cap space when trying to win.
There are a lot of potential good teams out East. The Contenders are the Wizards, Nets, Celtics, Pistons, Knicks, Raptors and I'm going to go with the Pacers as a dark horse(surprise!)
The Wizards are the most well rounded team out of the bunch. Love their starting lineup and backups. I'm not really seeing anything they need to improve on. I expect a finals visit for HF.
Greeme bringing Lonnie Wright off the bench for Don Chaney the past 2 seasons is very puzzling. Wright is clearly the better player and should be an amazing 3rd option for him.
Celtics need help up front. He should potentially look into adding a few good rotation players for Howell.
I like the Pistons Wing trio. I'm skeptical of their bigs holding up in the playoffs.
The Knicks look good but they need to get more from Dino. Their PG position is iffy af IMO.
Braz is good at finding those role players that can contribute, I always expect the Raps to be around.
The Pacers have the best front court in the league. Brian Taylor looks like an excellent pickup. The SG position is still in shambles. They have pieces to make a move if needed.
what team has the best outlook?
I really like the look of the Wizards for the next 2 to 3 seasons. The team with the best future has to be the Knicks. Mcadoo and Lanier should be a crazy duo up front for the next 10 years or so. Mike is capable of building around his stars.
You have been the most outspoken with Spence concerning his handling of rules and how he applies them to certain gms.. My questions are.. Why do you think he would give anyone preferential treatment? do you think he would fuck over someone’s team if he didnt like em? and how do you feel like he should handle rules versus how he handles them now?
Are you trying to get me fired? LOL!! I'm a very outspoken person and a lot of people seem to hate that here. Also, since I'm the most outspoken guy a lot of GMs tend to look past what I'm saying which is the truth most of the time and take it for me attacking Spencer. I'll say some off the wall shit every once in a while to get a rise out of a certain group of GMs but 90% of the time I'm speaking facts regarding league issues.
I'm not sure about Spencer giving anyone preferential treatment, I do feel he's biased when it comes to certain situations. He has too many "YES Men '' in this league who ignores some of the bullshit he does and defends him regardless of the situation. I'm always going to call it how I see it. That will never change. I do miss the old Spencer though. He's changed significantly.
I don't think he would fuck someones team over but I've had 5 or 6 straight shitty ass TCs. Mulitple lotto picks haven't done anything. Bing had a crazy first TC with the nets. I gave Chaney the +15 potential and +25 before TC and he didn't do anything. This isn't accusing someone of anything, just pointing out FACTS. Maybe it's just coincidental. Look at Gail Goodrich, he somehow lost his volume the last 3 seasons with Stool but now all of a sudden he's a 30ppg scorer again. Not sure how Stool's DCs looked, just pointing out shit that I noticed Also, when HF took over the Wizards they were in a very shitty situation, so Spencer gave him 5 freebie years. In that same offseason, HF hit on Rich Jones(pick 4 in the 2nd round) and Stu Lantz(pick 29 in the first round). Just saying!! But. if I really thought Spencer would screw me over, I wouldn't be in this league wasting my time.
Regarding the rules here. Rules are Rules, if hes going to make sure that shitty ass draft rule is followed, then all other rules need to be followed as well and not just on a GM by GM basis. Why do we have rules if shit isn't going to be followed. Spencer handles a lot of these dudes with kid gloves on. That shit needs to stop. Every guy/girl here is grown. Why does he have to post that someone is over the HC or under the MC. Those teams already know and they are just trying to buy more time before he notices it.
When I was mostly during the drafts. I would never auto someone who hasn't been on and seen the lotto results. If a GM hasn't been on in over 24 hours that would be an auto. I also would auto Lums in that situation because he was known to have top picks and not be around for them at all. Its bullshit that the lotto was simmed around 12am PT and you were autoed around 7am PT. I do agree with Spencer that list should be sent, but not before the lotto plays out.
AGREED!!! on draft shit. Stuff can be coincidental too though but you are right there shouldnt be anything wrong with just pointing stuff out.
Which gms do you think he likes ? and why

Kobe, Habes, Skillz, HF, Braz, and Ashan. Rex is slowly becoming one of his favs as well(gotta have that one favorite token black gm!!). Chipper tries to suck up but hes just a fucking lap dog.

How do you feel about Spencer's draft notes? Do you feel like they are just bullshit? or is there some hidden code you need to crack to understand em?
Draft notes are mostly bullshit. Larry Kenon notes clearly said mediocre stocks, now all of a sudden he's a legit 3.5 stocks per game guy. Demarcus Cousins draft notes said "DeMarcus Cousins is large and skilled. Very good inside scorer with elite strength. Good rebounder. Might have some turnover issues. Won't block shots, but will get steals." and he somehow was one of the best shot blocking bigs in league history. I think stocks should be left out of draft notes. If I remember correctly stocks also rely on quickness, jumping and strength. Broph would know better than me.
I also don't like how Spencer only uses FIVE potential numbers for players. That's BS and drafts shouldn't go that way. As a GM knowing that your player could only have 5 different potential numbers is annoying. I can probably guess the potential numbers that he uses as well(100, 85, 70, 60 and 50)
Did you feel it was a weak draft?
All drafts are weak when I tank. Rex was wild for taking Cosic at 3. I wanted Washington or Chones but glad that I ended up with Hammond.

I haven't quit because I haven't found a GM that I would hand my team over to. Insane keeps bullshitting about taking over. Once hes willing to step in, I'm probably out. I'll go to a sports game with Royal, hes the only guy I think would down, if some shit pops off. I would fire Rex right now because of the blatant tanking hes been doing.
