Bucks send:
Jamaal Wilkes
Mike Newlin
Mo Layton
Sac 57
Nets send:
Bob Dandridge
Bucks urgently need help. Barring something shocking, they’re targeting 42 wins or a 7th/8th seed ceiling, but they really need to get talent in the door right away. I don’t know if Greeme would do this—let’s see how Wilkes sims—butthis has the double benefit of adding talent and taking a better team out of the picture. Newlin is pretty good, Kings ‘57 should be top 16 or so, but this really depends on Greeme’s opinion of Wilkes. Andy also needs to turn Money and filler into a stud PG—Money’s definitely worth it, but not sure what’s available. Maybe I’ll run out of deals and propose a Money deal later on.
Sixers send:
Phil Chenier
Pacers send:
Sixers ‘57
Fred Brown
Sixers are over the HC with 10 players and lost depth this offseason, and the East is going to have at least three new playoff teams this season. They could get 42, but I don’t think they can make the playoffs. Chenier is a nice prospect with camps left, but he’s probably all Styro would be willing to move the pick for. Sixers could get nice stuff for Bing, Carter, and Johns and get a nice rebuild going after this. I’ll propose some stuff I think.
Sixers send:
Dave Bing
Bulls send:
Doug Collins
Scott Wedman
Filler
Love this one for both. Bing is still in his prime and about as good as it gets at PG. Bulls badly need PG and could be the favorite with Bing-Jones-Dr. J-Wes-Reed. Wiz gets two nice wing prospects in return. I think it’s probably a win for Washington but didn’t see another second piece to send with Collins or Wedman that would make it a fair deal.
Nuggets send:
Dave Cowens
Memphis sends:
EC Coleman
George Karl
Den 57
Cowens is a little under the radar but looks like a top five value to me. Incredible player. Royal had to move Willis to get under the HC and the roster isn’t going to reset, so it’s time to get the picks back. EC and Karl are both solid. I think they have camps left too. Solid deal.
Nets send:
Dave DeBussy
Clips send:
Walt Hazzard
Mike Lewis
Nets want to rebuild. DD has no value—gotta think Greeme would take exp for him. No reason Clips shouldn’t go for it. West is super weak, Foots is a better PG than Hazzard, and they could win the West with this squad. Good deal.
Pacers send:
Billy Cunningham
Grizz send:
Phil Smith
Phil Jackson
Cool deal. We’re building something nice in Memphis here. Sargo wants a good prospect for Billy, Skillz wants to deal Phil and push for a ring, and I want to write a few more words to make this article longer. Kermit-Cowens-Cunningham-Chaney-Jo Jo is fairly sick.
Hawks send:
Larry Kenon
Lavern Tart
filler
ATL 57-59
Sonics send:
Lou Hudson
I feel like a lot of the deals I’m proposing here could happen. This one definitely won’t, and maybe it shouldn’t, but I need to propose 10 deals. JR could look to rebuild after moving Leroy. DBW is a move away for contending and seems to want to go for it. Kenon will never be Hudson, but he’s young and really good and still has potential. Cheers.
Nets send:
Rod Thorn
Pistons send:
Expirings
Det 57
Mia 57
Cle 57
Maybe I get bored and go after the Rod man. East is so crowded that I’d definitely be gifting Greeme a lotto. Rod’s good though and should have a few nice seasons left. PMing with Greeme is horrible though so I’ll consider this a trade offer and he can post if he wants to do it.
Suns send:
Wilbur Holland
Wardell Jackson
filler
PHX 57, 58, 59 1sts
Sixers send:
Fred Carter
More wings for the Sixers. I like Wardell a lot. No idea about Wilbur but guessing he’s a second round steal based on his TC. Fred is amazing. Value may be kinda light here but it’s three picks and two prospects so reasonable enough. Nice little situation brewing in Philly.
Magic send:
Herm Gilliam
Pistons send:
ORL 57
Bill Bradley
Like it for both.
Jamaal Wilkes
Mike Newlin
Mo Layton
Sac 57
