Driving Miss Daisy- came out in 1989, won the 1990 Academy Award for Best Picture, and Jessica Tandy won the Academy Award for Best Actress. Oldest ever Oscar winner for acting- at least at the time.
My great-uncle wrote the play and then wrote the screenplay. He won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay that year too for it.

Ill add more categories as I see fit. Also will take recommendations on relatable usable lists. don't watch movies just because they are acclaimed lmao tons of bad movies got acclaimed. tons of good movies won nothing it's all politics I say this as a cinephile.
