2063 FULL Post-Notes Mock Draft!
1st Round:
1) - Isiah Thomas PG 6'1'' 180 20 B C B+ B+ C A - He meets the criteria. There is a good chance he doesn't get selected but Lasagna and tears of failure should select him. Let's face it, elite inside/handling/quickness, good stealing/jumpshot and C rebounding - he'll be a star PG in this league without question. Sure, he can go for "Fat Boy" but "solid" handles and listed at SF throughout his career is too big a risk for #1 overall point guard. He has to take Zeke, he has to.
2) - Fat Lever SF 6'3'' 170 21 B C+ B B B A - I'm not as sold as fatty as many others are on this forum but from a value standpoint, a point guard who can rebound is valuable. He gives me Russell Westbrook vibes though. Solid handles entering, needs to be camped right away and needs some TC luck to start at PG in this league. Otherwise, he could be a good backup 1-3 or a starting wing. I just don't get superstar vibes from him.
3) from - Larry Nance PF 6'10'' 205 22 B C C B+ C+ A - George McGinnis for Larry Nance and picks? Seems like a solid deal for manasrai and Galo . Good stuff here. Larry Nanz is a terrific player and in my mind, he is in the running for #1 overall in this draft. There are no holes in his game and he has the potential to become one of the best bigs in the entire file.
4) - Mark Aguirre SF 6'6'' 232 22 B+ C+ C+ C+ C A - I actually loved Aguirre's notes a ton. Honestly, there are some glaring issues but the strengths can hopefully make up for it. Elite inside scoring, C rebounding can make him a nice SG in this league for many years to come.
5) - Tom Chambers PF 6'10'' 220 22 B B+ C- C+ C A - Feel like he fits the greeme model of SG/SF quite well. Good inside/handles, can shoot well from outside, C rebounding.
6) - Buck Williams PF 6'8'' 215 21 B C- C- B B+ A - Nobody really likes bigs with mediocre blocking. Maybe the original michael can hope for some TC luck? Maybe he can become an SF? Who knows but the rebounding/strength is a massive plus. Good inside/handles/steals is cool too I guess.
7) from - Sleepy Floyd PG 6'3'' 170 21 B- C+ B- C+ C- A - Feel like he has a good base for a point guard in this league. Inside PGs are usually quite valuable. Good handles/quickness and likely good potential makes him a nice long-term prospect in my mind.
8) from - Rolando Blackman SG 6'6'' 190 22 B B C- C+ C A - B B scoring and C rebounding to start is cool for a SG. Good handles is a massive plus. Might not be a great stock guy but should be a good scorer/rebounder at SG.
9) - Rod Higgins SF 6'7'' 200 21 C+ B+ C- B- C B - The elite jumpshot and good handles is a solid base for nybombers3 . C rebounding is good for an SG too. Feel like if he has scoring volume, he'll be a great starter in this league for many years to come.
10) - Herb Williams C 6'10'' 242 23 C+ D+ C- B+ C+ B - Erbes looks like he loves him some Herb. Is that correct, Erbes ?
11) - Alton Lister C 7'0'' 240 23 C C- D B+ B B - Feel like the elite strength and solid blocks/rebounding is a good enough base to make him a nice long-term prospect. Might not be a star but he'll be a good rotational big. He's in CY so BPA is best bet and that's clearly Lister.
12) - Jay Vincent SF 6'7'' 220 22 B C C- B+ C+ B - RexLuthor strikes back with a nice SF prospect. C+ rebounding, B+ defense. Not great at anything but good at a lot of things so solid pick.
13) - Petur Gudmundsson C 7'2'' 260 23 C+ C D+ B B B - He has a cool name and B/B rebounding/defense so I think Nanz will take him.
14) - Sam Williams PF 6'8'' 210 22 B- C- C- B- C+ B
15) from - Danny Schayes C 6'11'' 235 22 C+ C C- B+ B- B

58) - U.S. Reed PG 6'2'' 175 22 B C+ C+ C+ C C - Mr. Irrelevant in my draft is an inside-oriented point-guard with a very patriotic name. Sporting C rebounding and C+ outside, he has some promise. I'm sure he would be thrilled with DeeperThanSims in Hotlanta. This is honestly the deepest draft we have had in quite some time.
