2064 181 Nuggets Sign PF George McGinnis for $168,693,163 over 7 years.
McGinnis got the bag. This is what I was concerned about towards the deadline so I decided to move him. He’ll certainly be worth it the first few years of that deal, but it could get ugly in years 5, 6, 7 when he’s in his late 30s making 30M. Still, Galo and the Nuggets had no choice but to max him.
2064 181 Raptors Sign PG Bo Lamar for $86,400,000 over 5 years.
Lamar is elite. The Raps got their PG and should be able to compete now. I don’t think John and Indy wanted to commit to a full max. Not sure he even offered it, but Lamar on a 5 year deal is solid.

Carr got the bag, but is worth it. Last year or so may be dreadful as he’s already 34, but Philly is trying to win and couldn’t lose him for nothing.

No brainer. DB has to be thrilled that Magic is back in Orlando for the next 7 seasons. The guy is such a cheat code and a fun player.

I originally was going to 1 year max, then thought about 2, but the truth is - I could not afford to lose him. He was also my only birds player in FA due to poor management on my end. He’s only 32 and has been balling out. Should be solid throughout his contract.

Butch on a 2 year 20M per deal is fine. Hes a fun PG and a former finals MVP. He’s a stud PG and it allows the Heat to continue competing.

Big fan of Lanier. I traded for him early in his career and did trade him away too soon. Think he was dealt for shitty Owens and Knight, who is also on this list. The Jazz bringing him back for 1/20 is a no brainer and he could be a solid trade chip for new Jazz Gm, CC.

Tiny can score with the best of them. Doesn’t offer much more. Still worth it for Seattle to bring him back and hope to flip him for a pick.

Chipper has to be relieved. Purvis is a fun, high scoring guard who should continue to get better. Had he left in FA, it likely would have put the nail in chips tenure as Kings GM.

Why? Solid player, but a max for a 12/9/2 big seems ridiculous. Just not a fan of this at all. At most a 5/10 per with no increases should have been enough.

Nets need a PG, but I don’t think Rick is the guy. Is he a filler? Maybe.

WTF. Why? Another head scratcher. This move forced GS to go over the Hc and give away Murphy. Knight is solid but is not a max player. Stoool really needs a calculator and as he said, “mistakes were made”.

Have always been intrigued by Cliff. This is a deal reminiscent of the Bill Bradley max. You are paying the man based on potential. As it currently sits, Cliff is not a max player. He can certainly get there with a few nice TCs. If he bottoms out in TC after getting a pay day, this deal could look bad.
