In UOSL there was this player that could legitimately win by himself, name escapes me but that was ridiculous

One elite player sets teams apart more now because with inflation everybody trying to win can fill out a roster with good starters. It's the elite one (30/10/10 or 30/15 bigs) that sets teams apart. Don't be silly.
In 2010 you could have an elite player but good players were more sparse - lots of teams had to start scrubs. I had a 6/8 Steven Hunter starting for a bit.
