JR’s Overreaction or Not Overreaction Sim 3 Edition
1. The Hornets are the best team in the league!
- Let me start by saying the Hornets are very good team. They have good depth and some solid players. Starting 11-1 does open some eyes around the league I believe. The wing combo of Allen Iverson and Grant Hill looks to be working and a shot blocking PG helps his cause. My thing only thing is will they keep up the amount of turnovers they create when their schedule gets a little harder. I believe they have faced 2 teams currently in the playoffs thus far, Wizards and Pistons. This is definitely an OVERREACTION.
2. The Kings will be the Kings of the West again!
- The Sacramento Kings have been dominate the last 3 seasons even though the West has been improving. They have made 3 straight finals and won 2 of those final appearances. Kobe, Ben are the constants. Now they have Carlos Arroyo and Chris Kaman next to them with Corey Maggette. IDK how they got Kaman but goddamn he does the same amount of blocks as Ben. Lets ban Ashes from dealing with new GMs please this is unfair! Anyways great team if they don’t make the Finals id be very surprised. NOT an OVERREACTION.
3. Royal is the worst GM in BBS history!
- Honestly this is a hard one. He is my brother from another mother and my best friend on top of that. I was his best man in his wedding so this is hard for me to say. I think Royal changes his mind too much as to what his plans are. He loves to make deals and always looking for the next one. This hurts him. Does this mean he is the worst ever? I don’t think so but he is definitely in the conversation if he doesn’t make enough moves to make CY. Another one of my friends might be in this conversation, but I’ll spare him by not naming him. I pray for him daily to improve his team, but this is an OVERREACTION.
4. Tim Duncan is still the best player in the league!
- Its is very hard to argue with 5 MVP’s for sure, but my tune has changed a little since the last time I discussed this great player. He has never had success in the playoffs. Whether that is because of the GMs haven’t been able to get a respectable team around him or he just isn’t a winner who knows. I like winning and ships are the way to gauge winning to me. So Im gonna have to say this is an OVERREACTION.
5. LeBron James will win his first MVP this season!
- Yeah this topic is because I wanna be a homer one time. So let me live when I talk about the 3rd greatest player to ever pick up a basketball. This guy’s stat line is out of this world!!! 30/9/9 like OMG! Who wouldn’t want a player that is a walking triple double? He can do it all on the court especially turn it over! Jokes aside that really is his only weakness. People might not think he is best at PG, but honestly you look at the stats individually then the team around him it works. Either way you spin this he will keep those numbers up barring an injury this is NOT an OVERREACTION.
6. Skillz is the best salesman in the league!
- This seems like a no brainer to me. Skillz could sell salt to a slug, water to a whale. Like he could sell a dick to a lesbian with his commentary. This dude is elite. I bet he makes over 100k selling shit in real life a year. His word play is crazy and he knows his selling points before you even tell him what you are going to say. I really don’t understand people who listen to his commentary at this point. LOOK AT THE OFFER GUYS not what he is saying! Honestly though he Is easy to deal with and reasonable if you turn his first offer down and tell him what you want or like. Good guy either way, but this is NOT an OVERREACTION.
7. Svedda is the hardest GM to trade with!
- Oh boy, this topic is one that I probably shouldn’t talk about. Im not sure we ever made a deal that was worth anything. The funny part we have been in almost every league together for the past 8 to 10 years. The only reason I am talking about this is because I have seen others bring it up in threads even recently. He has 2 players hes had since the creation draft. I think he is the only team with 2 players still on his roster from the creation draft? Either way it works, hes a good GM and knows what he is doing, but yes this is NOT an OVERREACTION.
8. The Warriors will make CY!
- The Warriors have a very good team. Well I mean for being in CY. They have had the best team of all the CY teams IMO. That being said why wouldn’t they make CY? They are 9-5 and have Nash and Kevin Martin as their backcourt. They have no problem scoring the ball with those 2 studs. You toss in forwards like Antoine Walker and Shawn Marion you have a team that WILL make the playoffs with ease barring injuries. Those do happen check out Miami and Toronto if you don’t believe me. Anyways Manas will be here for the long haul and Im glad he will be. Definitely NOT an OVERREACTION.
9. Kobe trades his players too soon!
- Saw somebody wrote this in a thread and oh boy I had to write about this one! Kobe is a very good GM and seems patient, but maybe not patient enough. I want to give an example or 2. 1st one is T-Mac. Dude didn’t look good in South Beach. IDK why I mean he was a solid player very good defender, but he didn’t take that next leap till going to San Antonio. The second example is Ricky “Mothafucking” Davis. Sad I passed on him last season, but I was going through some stuff and couldn’t concentrate on deals. Not the point, the point is he looks like how Kobe was talking about him when he had him. That’s funny because he acted like he was a god then, imagine if he still had Ricky! Anyways maybe his players party too much in South Beach, or maybe he isn’t patient enough. I will have to side with his players partying too much so this is an OVERREACTION.
10. The Culo Crew is the Best Crew!
- This is the easiest one yet. Like what crew could actually fuck with the Culo Crew? Hue Crew is trash, and I am apart of that one. Tequila boys idk who is in it, but you have a guy who drinks whiskey and not tequila in it not a good crew to me. Like who doesn’t love a fat ass to look at? Culo Crew rules the rest can go fuck themselves to be honest. With that being said, JR is back and this is NOT an OVERREACTION.
