It’s for that exact reason. Only 1-2 teams can win out here why mortagage the future for one ring? It's impossible to mortgage your future in a league where pick limitations only take you two years out. That is 2 months worth of BBS-time. It's nothing. Securing a ring in a climate where it is relatively easy to win one is worth the potential for mediocrity of 1-2 seasons. Rings are fleeting! I value longevity over the quick fix tbh. Plus a ring is never guaranteed in FBB playoffs. So you sell all your assets and look like the cavs and Pacers now not a fan of that. |

It's impossible to mortgage your future in a league where pick limitations only take you two years out. That is 2 months worth of BBS-time. It's nothing. Securing a ring in a climate where it is relatively easy to win one is worth the potential for mediocrity of 1-2 seasons. Rings are fleeting! I value longevity over the quick fix tbh. Plus a ring is never guaranteed in FBB playoffs. So you sell all your assets and look like the cavs and Pacers now not a fan of that. Yep. FBB playoffs are a complete crapshoot. Was just making the point that "going all in" in a league that moves at light speed with serious pick limitations is not that bold of a gamble. It's normally relatively challenging to put a 55+ win group together, and given the state of the league, it would be easy to succeed at that goal in the West. |
