CV for Scola was a good deal for him and would have secure a top pick but oh well No it wasn’t.

Hopefully we can maintain this very good turnover margin we have going. I think it's best in the league.

Scola is the best player per dollar in BBS outside of someone on a rookie contract right now. When you guys keep continuing to max 10-10 3BPG shotblockers there will be a massive market for players like Scola when people start recognizing his value. He's pretty much Zach Randolph at a fraction of the price. He does things in games that guys who are just "someone has to score" players don't do like put up 40, 50+.
Worth keeping him rather than move him just for purposes of the tank.

and Livi and PP and the picks that brought in Andrew and Marcin... JJ needs to improve in TC next year or else will be a bust... Theo is who I wanted Walker was baggage that came along... but yep all I did was trade theo and walker away and bring them back All those moves were previous seasons but ok Oh, yeah kinda fucked on salary right now... really putting a squish on what I do vs fucking me past this season

IMO Scola is definitely really good. great contract. does volume with no turnovers. should have value

A few CY teams coming up that can use a Scola (good talent on dirt cheap deal so they can load up elsewhere)

scola is nothing. maybe a backup 3/4. should've taken cv for him and not looked back.

I haven't really got many offers as of late, but the offers I got for picks were very early on. Understand GM's skepticism on lack of numbers over volume.

Genuinely curious. scola is a career 44% shooter. you can't start him at PF/C b/c he has b- rebounding and no stocks, and he wouldn't do anything especially well at SF. zbo's over 85 inside and midrange and has B+ rebounding. he can do 20/10 on 50/89 as a third option on a good team. scola would be doing, what, 15 and 7?

it's fair to compare guys like marty, scola, boozer, etc. to zbo. he's not hitting threes and he doesn't give stocks. but you have to be a really, really good scorer and rebounder to have value doing what he does at SF. he is; the other aren't.

There a lot of variables to come into play. I don't know what other teams have run with him. If he came off the bench as a non option in an outside offense, that wouldn't fit his game. Scola is +85 Inside, Midrange and Strength with very low jumping and very high post defense. I don't care about the ratings. He makes up for some of his stock shortfalls with his low TOPG, so his handles must be very high as well. He is showing that he is a high volume scorer and shoots 90% plus from the FT line. That alone is huge. We will check back at the end of the season if anyone else in the league has made more FT this season then Scola. To say that Scola has a 11 PPG difference from a team running a balanced offense and put's up something like 113 PPG to 107 OPPG a night is insanity, based on the sample size you have seen over 60 games this season.
