Thought it would be cool to compile a BBS record book with everyone's career record, win % and championships to compare across eras. Was able to find some record-keeping in BBS 4 and 5. No luck on BBS 3 yet. Thought it would be interesting. Will update this with current GMs through BBS2020 and will try to find some historical information on the previous versions. I know BBS3 would reflect would deflate the winning % for Play and definitely for me and would help Insane, Habes, Pig, etc. I'm sure some of this is wrong. Was going by an article Spence wrote in BBS 5 and Aar wrote in BBS 4 that compiled records and titles. BBS 4 and 5 GM'sPlay - .561, 8 titles Skillz - .579, 4 titles Nanz - .525, 3 titles Greeme - .543, 2 titles Habes - .493, 2 titles Pig - .468, 2 titles Galo - .489, 1 title DB - .481, 1 title Ashes - .481, 1 title UKFanJohn - .516 JAH - .492 Styro - .452 Insane - .444 Atscott - .418 Wait List:
Broph - .537, 3 titles DJ - .527, 1 title GAME - .465, 1 title @spencer was going to post this in an article but didn't know what was appropriate / didn't expect an AC. Maybe an RC to keep it updated. bbs2010.proboards.com/thread/55/memphis-grizzliesyeah here is insane's other team from bbs 4. He had 4 titles in 5 years.

May 4, 2020 13:34:46 GMT -8 Spencer said: Nanz Avatar May 4, 2020 8:40:40 GMT -8 Nanz said: Galo, was it you who did the article comparing GMs to rappers? LOL that was one of my all time favorite articles. Ill give you an RC if you can repost that article here. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk Found it! Had to dig into the old laptop with the broken screen. Looks like it got deleted from the old boards somehow. See below and enjoy: Intro First off, I know this is completely ridiculous but I thought it’d be fun. I thought about this idea at the gym. These comparisons were made based on BBS LEAGUE CRED. The determining factors were: league success, experience, personality and sometimes location. With this, I compared them to a rapper that shared similar traits in personality, success, experience or location. Either way, hope they are pretty on the spot. Here are few to warm up with: The Commish | Spencer - 2PacBoth from the bay. Both are simply the best. Bottomline. Former Dallas Mavericks GM | Dave 50 CentPretty self explanatory. Was good, but got tired. Didn’t want to deal with stuff. Bullied people around. Former Pistons GM | Aaron Reilley– NasWas one of the greatest and unheralded of all time. Like Nas, never appreciated. Gone now. Former Jazz GM | Nybombers x NotoriousNo one knows whatever happened to Andy. Hopefully he’s OK. But he’s gone like Biggie.
The Atlantic New York Knicks | Outlawz - Jay-Z blogs.sfweekly.com/shookdown/jay-z.jpg[/img]Outlawz has simply been the greatest GM thus far in this BBS much like Mr. Carter. He took over the game slow but has displayed consistency just like Hova. Plus being from New York himself, this is an obvious choice. Now, if Outlawz can only get his B, he’ll beset. Miami Heat | Ebener- Young JeezyUp on Outlawz heels in supremacy is Ebener. Currently, he’s behind by 1 title against Outlawz but certainly he has already made his impression on BBS. Like Jeezy, he createda buzz with many moves as he continues to reload and retool his roster despite various run-ins in the streets with drugs and other paraphernalia. Still, one of the best BBS has ever seen and will see. Philadelphia 76ers | Maniac – Eminem blogs.psychologytoday.com/files/u63/eminem.jpg[/img]You can certainly see the comparisons here. The anger and supposed messing around justlike Em. You just never know which Maniac you’ll get either sometimes. Being underrated most of his BBS career, Maniac’s been left with some anger even though he has skills, maybe even top skills like Em at that. Still, he’s been able to maintain a consistent and young roster year in and year out through his tenure. Washington Wizards | jahallstar - Ghostface Killah You don’t see this guy very often but you know he’s there cause the skills are there. Maybe his clan or other sims keep him back from emerging, but Jah like Ghost are there with their best game. Year by year, he makes great teams and takes them in the playoffs but always run into Jay or Jeezy. Still, Ghost is respected in the league for the most part. New Jersey Nets | Mark- Common highbridnation.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/common323.jpg[/img]Another guy that is underrated but active on the scene is Mark much like Chi-town’s finest, Common. Maybe somewhat underrated with his moves and his flow, Mark combines safe moves with a strong vision of what he wants. He’s maintained longevity and even captured a title in his third season in the league. One of the more respected guysin the league just like Common. Orlando Magic | @aaronjh - P Diddy; The guy has it in him to be a good and even a great GM, but maybe consistency isn’t forte kind of like Diddy. He runs his team like Diddy runs Bad Boy; it’s like reality TV. You never know what to expect. Sometimes his picks are good (Danity Kane) and sometimes they are bad (Da Band). Either way, Diddy and Aaron are both fun to watch. CC- Keak Da Sneak Like Keak, CC hails from the bay. Maybe not one of those consistent rappers or GMs, as he sometimes gets hated on like he did in BBS back in the day. But still makes moves and gets his name known one way or another because ‘that’s his word.’ Now back in BBS again, CC is looking to redeem himself and elevate to an E-40 status at the very least in Boston.
Indiana Pacers | Nova- Mims lyrics.k-rex.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/mims-this-is-why-im-hot.jpg[/img]A young cat here is Nova and just like Mims, they are coming up in the game. Their skills haven’t realized yet maybe but they are there. Maybe both haven’t had the greatest luck in BBS or rap so far but it should come in time. It should be interesting to see if we’ll find out if they’re hot.
Milwaukee Bucks | Jordan – Pharell www.italiq-expos.com/news/images/people/pharell-williams.jpg[/img] One is from West Virginia and the other from Virginia Beach. They are also close in staying low profile but turning it up when the need to. Jordan has also won a championship and consistently puts out good teams like Pharell puts out good beats. This makes the pair pretty close.
Detroit Pistons | Jay- Proof www.the-latest.com/files/images/proof.jpg[/img]Probably one of the most underrated rappers ever, Proof like Jay doesn’t get the credit they deserve. They make seemingly great moves (Jay getting LeBron and Proof hooking up D12 with Em) yet they’ve fallen short so far. Luckily for Jay, he’s got times to make moves and be better than Proof ever was or can be now. RIP.
Atlanta Hawks | Skillz - DJ KhaledLike Khaled, Skillz hypes up everyone he works with, in this case, all his players. And later, he trades them or moves them to work with something else. Like a real DJ, Skillz isa big hyper of talent even if there’s very little of it. Still Khaled is successful but sometimes at greater losses. He works with a lot artists like Skillz trades with a LOT of teams.
Toronto Raptors | DJ- KRS-1 www.justdownloadme.com/JDLM/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/krs-one.jpg[/img]Stays quiet and behind the scenes until he needs to. Every once in awhile, KRS will dust off the mic and drop something like DJ will dust off his trade hand and make one. Either way, they’ve been in the game forever or there’s a reason for it. They still know how to last and maintain longevity in a league that has turned out a lot of bad GMs and still many to come. But KRS like DJ, remains in the game.
Cleveland Cavaliers | Derwin- Yung Joc kothelegend.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/yungjoc.jpg[/img]Joc’s had us ‘Goin Down’ and that’s been basically it for him. Like him, Derwin made a splash when he came in but hasn’t done much since. Stuck in mediocrity for some time, he’s learned to get through working with Puffy and Bad Boy. He’s still learning his way through and has other things that are bound to ‘Go down’.
New Orleans Hornets | Captain - Bubba Sparxxx i.realone.com/assets/rn/img/7/0/7/3/9323707-9323710-slarge.jpg[/img]Perhaps making references that he shouldn’t at times, Captain like Sparxxx think they aremore established in the rap and BBS games than they really are. Both are maybe living off the successes in the past but have yet to show much success recently (Ms New Booty = Devin Kelly?) Either way, they are around for now.
Chicago Bulls | Play - TI Keeps his mouth shut, but quick to smack a GM quick. Well maybe not, but they have that kind of swagger when they deal and rap. Both have a Midwest connection which works in their favor as they’ve been able to dominate their divisions and come out on top. They basically have whatever they like at this point.
Utah Jazz | Andrew- Ludacris www.greene.k12.ia.us/wpdevelopment/Amanda%20Web/Amanda--Ludacris/ludacris9.jpg[/img]Both dudes are outspoken but very good in their crafts. They maybe talk more smack than they should but that’s cause they have the tools to back it up. Luda and Drew may not be close geographically but their developments as artists and GM is pretty parallel and clear.
Denver Nuggets | Ducky- Snoop Dogg www.pyroradio.com/images/uploaded/SnoopDogg.jpg[/img]Both have had their weird moments in the past, and outside of the drug and other snoop references, both make their own names too. The comparisons are clear: both animals, onea duck and the other a ‘dogg’ but they both been in leagues and the rap game for quite a while. That deserves some credit and the Nuggets have been to the finals twice.
Minnesota Timberwolves | ashes- Fabolous reyflemings.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/fabolous.jpg[/img]He was riding high off his success in UOSL when Ashes entered BBS. Like Fabo, both have kind of an unearned swag about them but that’s just what works in their favor and success most of the time. Already has made more moves than the predecessor (Punjabi MC) and has gotten the team better despite many botched attempts. Holla back at Ashes.
Houston Rockets | Greg- Lil Flip lilflipfans.com/files/2008/08/lf.jpg[/img]This reference may be a little shaky but stay with me. Flip has always had the tools and experience like Greg but just never fallen through. As a result, both Texas products have been stuck in a rut with both skills. They both have potential to be good and strong in their fields but it just hasn’t happened yet. San Antonio Spurs- AllStar- Busta Rhymes www.killahbeez.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/busta1.jpg[/img]Both have been inconsistent in their games, sometimes coming in strong and other times weak. But both deserve some respect for their past successes. They are still around too which says something about their characters. It’s all matter of that new big single (Arab Money) or trade (moving Patterson?) to bring back. Woo Ha.
Memphis Grizzlies | JB- Biz Markie ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41ATBBEDCWL._SL500_AA240_.jpg[/img] Sometimes you can’t understand JB with the grammar, spelling, punctuation or anything says frankly like Biz. And mostly it’s cause of the subject matter sometimes but you don’t really understand him and maybe that’s part of the reason for communication problems with some GMs. They don’t understand some of his moves either which like Markie, probably ended his career.
Dallas Mavericks | Chris aka Martinez- PitbullBesides the latin roots, they are both pretty feisty and both think they are the shit. They are loud and fuck with Lil Jon a lot but they are still close. Makes smart moves but then bad moves and then just leaves the game all together. Now making his comeback, we’ll see how Chris does this time with a new team molded all by himself.
Los Angeles Clippers | Galo - The Game haterism.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/thegame.jpg[/img]Were both pretty irrelevant early on in both games cause he was signed on to a label that included the likes of 50, G-Unit and Em and he was in a very tough Western conference. The Game has emerged since then and like GP, they’ve gotten it together recently. Some of their moves will still be questioned but they will always hold down the West Coast.
Seattle Sonics | Aar- Kardinall Offishall highbridnation.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/offishall.jpg[/img]Both got the Canadian factor working for them and from what I’ve heard, Kardinal is coming hard. It’s just a matter of time till Aar emerges year in and year out as a favorite in the West. His game has developed much to the comparison of DJ, the other Canadian GM. Will Aar continue this reign with another Finals appearance this year? We shall see.
Phoenix Suns | Blue- Shyne hissip.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/shyne.jpg[/img]Probably one of the most unlucky GMs up there with Nova and GP, but Blue has been emerging recently with some good moves and luck. Like Shyne, Blue’s been underrated but always took the rap as a bad GM like Shyne took the rap for Puffy in that shooting. But it’s okay, because Blue finally has it working and everyone is seeing that untapped potential like Shyne has.
Los Angeles Lakers | Nanz - Kanye West img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2006/celebdatabase/kanyewest/kanye_west1_300_400.jpg[/img]Hernando left the team in a good situation but Nanz took it to a whole another level. Nanz captured a championship two years ago, a feat Hernando never was able to do. He basically took the game by storm like Kanye and made their names quickly. Although they have their tantrums, Kanye with the media and Nanz with the NC crew, they make itthrough and still great at what they do.
Golden State Warriors | Von - Andre 3000 www.blainekendall.com/uploads/blog/andre3000.jpg[/img]The odd ball of the group is still strong. This holds true in Outkast’s Andre 3000 and Pig with the NC guys. Pig’s made 2 finals appearances but has never come up with the wholething. His skills are undeniable but maybe gets bored and tries other things (Andre with acting and Pig with poker). Still, both undeniably good when in their domains.
Portland Trail Blazers | Orlando Magic Johnson Lil Wayne staging.pluggedin.com/artist/images/LilWayne_115606_08062008.jpg[/img]Recent blunders don’t reflect the success of Dan in BBS. He won back to back titles and like Wayne dominated the game for two seasons which is tough to do in this league. Since then he’s broken up, and Outlawz has proclaimed he will never get his swag back. Time will tell if this Cash Money Records endorsee can do it.
Sacramento Kings | Scott – Twista nymag.com/images/2/daily/entertainment/07/07/18_twista_lgl.jpg[/img]Both guys were pretty relevant in the beginning. In fact, Scott even won the first ever championship in this BBS (Fun fact for today Kids!) But since then, it’s been a distant memory. No one really knows where both have disappeared but they’ve never been the same since then. We are hoping for a comeback soon.
