I got a energy drink when shift starts. Then drink water during shift and have jerky half way through. It's a pain doing overnights but it's easy money. lady that did 3rd shift at my old job would constantly call in 5 minutes before shift and call out, which was way too late to let the morning guy to come in early I'm lucky I just do security a few times a week at a luxury apartment complex. Chill in the office do rounds a few times a night. Mainly play my switch or looks shit up on my phone. Its just a 2nd job for easy money to put away. |

I tried playing my gameboy and people complained and i was playing it when nothing happening while i waited for rounds or to let cars in.

go home take a nap and head back to work Right now I'm lucky because of working from home. Before Covid hit I was pulling 18 hour days Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. Work security drive to work go home eat dinner sleep until I had to go to my overnight and repeat. Now I can go home nap for 2 hours and work from home. |

Similar to me north i worked in a condo complex on the beach. Super cold in middle of night.
No one to cover if next person dont come. The morning guy was like 80 so wouldn't do any extra time ever. I got stuck working from 4pm to 8am back tp back days. The old guy would stay later or come in early at all and was suppose to be shift leader lol. So i left and came right back and maybe slept 4 hours after driving back n forth showering and eating

another time a girl hid under my desk cause she was figting with her boyfriend Yeah nothing like that happens where I'm at. It's mostly quiet. Maybe because of Covid. Before Covid I got noise complaints a few times a week. Since March I've had 2 complaints. One of which was a crazy lady who wanted me to tell someone he couldn't have candles on his patio. Dude sitting outside minding his own business and Lady was going bat shit crazy. |

Where I'm at I have almost zero interaction with people since its 12 AM to 6 AM. Sometimes drunk people come through but usually they don't. We deal with complaints but if it gets to serious they have to call the cops. Basically we are just here to prevent cops from showing up. But nothing happens since its middle of week 12 AM to 6 AM. I'm sure the sucker who has the weekend shift has loads of fun. |

Sounds easy. Where I'm at I have almost zero interaction with people since its 12 AM to 6 AM. Sometimes drunk people come through but usually they don't. We deal with complaints but if it gets to serious they have to call the cops. Basically we are just here to prevent cops from showing up. But nothing happens since its middle of week 12 AM to 6 AM. Place I'm at has electronic gates. They used to have the security guards sign out packages to people but that stopped with Covid and obviously not many people would come to pick up their amazon delivery between 12 AM and 6 AM. Like I'm not even sure why they have us come anymore. But if they wanna pay me to play around on my phone or play my switch I'm not gonna complain. |
