Reading an article today about how fever isn't a symptom in many young people who contract the virus. In March, they were saying that 90% of people who had this had a fever as an indicator. that's because for the most part they wouldn't test anyone that didn't have 12 of 12 signs including fever

Would love to find out what the percentage of false positives/negatives are on tests. There has to be some investigative journalist out there who is looking into this right? Here is an issue with tests as well. Wife got the "brain tap" one done on Tuesday (nasopharyngeal) at her work. It was negative. Also on Tuesday, she got a mouth swab done at Kaiser. It was positive. Just so inconsistent.

Oh I have had a fever. Even now around 3 weeks from first symptoms I still am running a low-grade fever (in the 99s). I averaged around 100-102 with a high of 102 on a Monday and then 104 on a Tuesday (had that for 2 weeks). Also had a breathing issues, no smell/taste, skin sensitivity, cough, congestion, tiredness, the whole shebang

"Nationally, new COVID-19 cases have risen every week for six straight weeks. Forty-six states reported more new cases of COVID-19 last week compared to the previous week, the analysis found. Cases are only falling on a weekly basis in New York, Tennessee, New Jersey and Delaware."
Sweet, let's take me off the ban list Northeast so I can go home for a week!

I don't think I have covid, the fever was on and off for about 4 days but I think it was just a cold, never really had any other major symptoms other than fever and tiredness
If my fever comes back though I have to go get a test

Too many idiots out here running the states smh Meh. Down here they give a lot of autonomy to the counties and cities. But yes, just general cluelessness all around.

Just had my buddy tell me that two friends of his just received a call and tested positive even though they never took a test. Left the line because testing was taking too long that day to get done.

But yes, just general cluelessness all around. yup Nashville Public Health issues these daily/weekly heat map of 'clusters' and where they are in the city without giving any level of granularity of the metric they are using on how they are painting the map. They mention it's by home address but I for example live in a zip code of less than 1,000 people. If their metrics are by percentage of population in a zip code then it doesn't really present an accurate presentation of the issues.

Don't get the same feeling stateside.... It's a little bit different due to the fact that Australia is in the Winter. Hospitals are probably filling up to brim with individuals who are having non-COVID respiratory conditions that you would generally find in here in the states from October - March. When you add in COVID to the mix it's probably turning into a disaster. Get ready to buckle up when we get into October - March as this is where we see our hospitals at the fullest.

Ran a fever last night so I went in to get tested today. They told me it would be 72 hours for results and I received a negative result in 9 hours. Pretty crazy.
The nose swab thing is quite the experience if you haven't received it yet.
