Clippers are 3rd in the league with 12.1topg...So not sure why they even needed to deal for Kerr and his low to's.

JWill is kind of ass unless the top scouts say he has potential get out of here with that bs....He's far more valuable than Kerr. I wasn’t disagreeing with you. Relax. I’m just saying JWill also sucks

In hindsight probably not the smartest trade, kind of still understanding value in FBB. Only way to to learn is through trades and taking my bumps. All in good fun, and there was some good info in this thread to learn from.

We run a fast pace which, correct me if I am wrong, lowers turnovers at the expense of fg %. We could try running normal pace with Kerr. Our offense isn’t super efficient so adding someone who hits 2s/3s/fts at a high rate was appealing.

Kerr didn't have that type of value, especially a 2003 first round pick. Which is the Lebron draft. Good luck the rest of the way.

Yeah me and frongi went back and forth on it, he brought up a good point since that is the coveted draft everyone will be tanking and barring a significant injury with Duncan we won’t be able to rank enough to get who we want. I think habes suggestion would’ve been smart here, will keep that in mind for future trades. Good luck to you too sir.

This is just too clever by half. The insight is that the league overvalues 03 picks because too many teams will be tanking. You could’ve exploited that by dealing it for its perceived value. Instead you dumped it.

Spencer makes pretty good drafts and he will include steals for later in the first and 2nd rounds. Going forward you guys need to value your first round picks a lot more and not just tossing them around for minimum upgrades. You have a few more significant holes than PG on your roster.

Where’d you get this?

Eh I think the Jwill trade was good, probably better served with getting a big with shot blocking/rebounding with the pick but I don’t think you get a better player then that especially if we end up around the 20s. Clearly this one was a reach, Might’ve been better served to sit back and make smaller moves to see how things played out but yeah you bring up a great point.

Where’d you get this? When I said lowers turnovers, I meant lowers turnover rate. I don’t have the software but that was my recollection from a half dozen years or so ago. Despite Duncan and playing in the west we are middling in points per shot so I felt adding Kerr (and potentially running normal pace) would help address a weakness.

Ah this is some good info to know. Thank you. I figured late first and early second would be garbage because people know who was good IRL and we can see the ratings...

Kerr needs to be an option in outside or he sucks. Doesn't fit with Duncan at all.

I did also think that as time goes on the pick becomes less valuable as people are more certain the pick will be in the 20s... but your point still stands. i still like what we did with our 02, and our 01 is going to be around 23.

If you're just running a normal pace balanced offense still then Kerr is barely an upgrade over Williams if at all

Usually its correct but sometimes it can be wrong. Also, even if a player has 100 potential they can still bust.
