probably in the tier 4 area lumped in with Marbury/Baron/Franchise. TC will do a lot to separate these guys.

People on this list that were picked after Payton and ranked higher:
Rip Hamilton (we were trying to win right away so not heavily considered)
Sprewell (was the guy we were debating with Jones, turnovers were deciding factor)
Bobby Jackson (everyone passed on him in third round, got picked before we were up in 4th)

For Jones, the same guys as above plus 3 raw prospects and one year guys Stockton and Hakeem.

Crawford was picked between Jones and Payton.

Not saying it was a homerun but given the strategy of trying to compete, those picks were definitely not bungled.

Clippers picking Payton led me to pick Crawford.
