two. expecting to find out today private? public? public jobs(for the most part) in the US are poorly paid and not great conditions. I assume Israel is much like EU where the public jobs are generally the better paid and better conditions |

I assume Israel is much like EU where the public jobs are generally the better paid and better conditions public sector jobs are very good in the US, though it's true that in professions with private sector counterparts, wages are considerably lower for public jobs. as far as labor protections and benefits, public is better than private. the problem here is public sector is shrinking and/because much of the public has an idiotic disrespect for public workers. my (public sector) job is great, but i need to make more money for a bit |

Spain any public job no matter what the sector is better paid, better hours etc you also have to take a test to get into a position and have to beat out like 500 other people for like sometimes at most 5-10 positions, unless of course you know someone or your so and sos relative. I just remember in the US places like the dmv and has to imagine these people didn't get paid very well and they didn't have great hours either Compared to the US, Spain salaries are shit tho one of the lowest in the EU. Imagine living in New Jersey or New York making 2200 a month, that's terrible salary but for here and my age/career etc it's a really good salary |
