you still need a point system, even if we make a poll, to figure out which 12 players get into the ballot, some type of criteria is needed because like I told ashes, everyones opinion is going to be different... at least this way the 12, 10 or whatver amout of players all got put on ballot based on same criteria Well voting eliminates opinions. Everyone here knows who should be considered.

Take the dudes currently 30+, have their stats/awards written. When they officially retire, you create a poll if they should go into the HOF or not. Choosing the players would be the annoying part but you wouldn't do that for every scrub either.

Don't really have an opinion either way, but like the idea of the HOF being extremely selective

Any criteria that ends up with only a few players getting in each decade seems silly. Don't really care about this tho.

If Crawford plays 18 years averages 28 ppg him only getting 3000 points is wrong

yeah ill figure something out... im going to up the points and add more categories... then I'll make a poll for people to vote everyone who got in past the 25k. I think that's the fairest.
So people actually vote, IDK maybe a free RC? we will see what Spencer lets me do.

Start with Creation Draft obv marty wouldnt know but someone else could run through that draft thread and highlight the ones that could make a case. And thatd be the 1st poll. From there start in 2011 retiree thread and highlight the ones that could make the cut. Requirements 3 years retired. 3 a season enter, but 1st ballot HOFers that enter wont effect the 3

so far up until 2010, I think Tim Duncan is clearly going to get in... KG technically already is in according to FBB criteria but he's also in... I gotta tally the rest. If anyone thinks the points should be increased/decreased let me know. MVP = +4000 DPOY = +1000 ROY = +1000 Playoff MVP = +2000 6MOY + 250 All League 1st Team + 750 All Defensive 1st team +750 Champion = +500 is it possible to account for / factor in allstar appearences?

This is an example. Whoever wrote it up for the guy would get AC
Anyone who votes and you have to put reasoning gets an RC. Best response gets an additional RC
Dikembe! One of the most long-tenured contributors, Dikembe finds himself right below recent inductee Karl Malone in AAV, putting himself in a prime spot to make the Hall himself.

Arguments for Induction: - All-time leader in blocks in the NBAD. - All-time leader in blocks per game in a season in the NBAD. - Amongst the remainder of the bigs from the initial NBAD draft, he's gotta be right up there amongst production given to his team. The guy was a rebounding and defensive machine and it's no shock he's made it here. DPOY's, All-League Teams, All-Defensive Teams... hard to argue.
Arguments Against Induction: - Offense was lacking, no doubt about it. - Do rebounds/blocks alone get you inducted into the Hall? - Was the end of his career detrimental to his overall case?
