i think kidd led PGs in steals and rebounds and shot like 48/80/45 last year. the market for him doesn't matter to me. jazz start an expiring with no birds. clips literally don't have even a quality backup pg on the roster. cavs are scraping by with gp. nets have charlie ward. heat use chucky atkins. who's the spurs pg, damon jones? bulls use howard eisley. nuggets use 39 year-old stockton. these are good to great teams, and i could go on. i'm not attacking these guys, but there should be a huge market for pgs, and i'll keep kidd if there isn't. idc. I’d like Kidd for sure, but don’t see a way to get him that helps us offensively. Duncan/LJ/Jones/Corliss are so efficient that a pg who barely shoots is fine for us. Obviously would still like to upgrade at pg but there is time. |

The thing is that PG is barebones, the ones that have them are valued so highly. Does it make sense to upgrade it? Absolutely, but is it worth sacrificing one of your main pieces or youth/picks for it? That im not sure about. If we can get one that plays great defense and efficient on low volume that should be enough.
