Somebody called in so i have to do 2 jobs today. Still gonna be a fantastic day! Getting a cut after work and before practice. Trying to implement a full court press before the next tournament. Baby steps for these kids!

killed teams with it when i played JV. didnt work as well in varsity tho when teams had multiple ball handlers

If i do half court trap it’s 1-2-2. It works skip passes when they are this young are intercepted all day. Full court is 1-2-1-1. Man press. I prefer man concepts

If you have a great defender who can force ball handler to either side of the court then 1-3-1 is perfect

If you have a great defender who can force ball handler to either side of the court then 1-3-1 is perfect 1-2-2 is similar just don’t have to rely on 1 deep under the basket. I played the 1-3-1 while in college. It’s pretty complex for 13-14 yr olds to understand. Getting them to understand the concept of help defense in man was very hard. |

yea man is impossible. 1-3-1 is pretty simple. one of the 2 wings just trap once the ball handler comes across on their side(hopefully in the corner) and the middle guy has to be a ball hawk that can intercept the passes. the back guy just there in case they break it
worked wonders for us
