hey Von how you play last week Terrible. Actually got fitted and went and picked up some MP - 20 HMB's lol after I lost to this dude in matchplay.. Lead time on them fresh from the factory was like 6 weeks so I bought some on Ebay. Have to go back to Tour Stiffs because my swing speed is too fast for regular stiffs. Brought all my woods down to the local shop to get them reshafted on Monday. Hope to have a full set on Friday. I am going to Scottsdale for 5 rounds in two weeks so I need to figure out the kinks. what swing speed justifies the move from regular stiffs to tour stiffs?

I think Golf Galaxy has some type of kickback deal with Mizuno or something. They really try to push those clubs on you.

I always feel like I am a tweener but everyone who fits me says hit the X-Stiffs. My swing speed is 94 MPH with the 7 Iron and I get up to 110 with the Driver. I would say if you are somewhere in the 103-105 MPH with the driver you should be at least testing it out.

My clubs are at least 15 years old. Really need new ones. Depending on how much you want to invest the Callaway Apex is a really good iron for guys trying to figure it out. Their irons are slightly delofted so you are going to get way more distance on them than most irons. The downside is you won't get the spin rate.

I'm not good enough to worry about spin rate but delofted does sound good. I tend to get under the ball too much.
