I think NBN had a 1 yr max rule.
If I remember it right, you couldn't sign the player to a 1 yr max and trade him. He'd have to stay on your roster the whole season.

I think NBN had a 1 yr max rule. If I remember it right, you couldn't sign the player to a 1 yr max and trade him. He'd have to stay on your roster the whole season. So you just sign him to a dollar under the max and circumvent the rule? |

it really hasnt been a big issue here. bruce one of the first nice young guys in a while that had some nice multi year offers but took 1 year max

By having to keep them, you wouldn't be able to sign and trade to keep tanking. I think that was the logic behind it. |

I don't remember the cut off on salary. Just that it was a rule. |
