2025 FULL Post-Notes Mock Draft!
1st Round:
1) - Chris Hudson SF 6'8'' 250 20 B B- C C+ C A
Analysis: While there are three players in consideration for this pick, I feel like it ultimately ends up being Hudson, he just looks like the safest option. Very good handles, gets stocks, scores inside and outside (particularly good from midrange) puts his notes well ahead of anybody else. Hoping he can end up developing into a big-time scorer who protects the rock and gets the stock(s).
BBS Comparison: Ermoni Bates
2) - Zaine Winscott SF 6'8'' 223 21 C+ B B+ C+ B- A
Analysis: Love that B- rebounding but feel like the lack of defense makes him more of an SG long-term. There are some scoring volume issues and he doesn't get stocks BUT the rest of his game is quite sick. Really reminds me of a Mack Drexel type in the sense that he can be a double-double machine that doesn't really get stocks but shoots/rebounds well for his position though his handles are not as good. Highly intriguing/fun player.
BBS Comparison: Mack Drexel (SG version)
3) - Jalen Lewis C 6'10'' 245 20 B C C C C+ A
Analysis: A bit underwhelming on paper for a player who is in consideration for the top pick but assuming there is a lot under the hood. Stated that he gets steals but doesn't really block BUT can become a shotblocker down the line. The notes really reminds me of Cousins. As to whether or not he can develop like Cousins did is a massive question mark as Cousins had multiple terrific training camps early to get to where he is today. Could even see Lewis going higher but should be a fun player overall. Love the fact that he can score well inside and from midrange.
BBS Comparison: DeMarcus Cousins (as a draftee)
4) - Dax Drakes PF 6'9'' 244 20 B- B- C C C A
Analysis: Listed at PF but notes made it clear that he will be a wing in the long term. Does all the thing you want in a wing, scores inside/out, good handles and steals, decent rebounder for a wing. His defense is a bit of a concern especially as an SF but perhaps he can be a nice SG? Not sure, really depends on his athleticism as to whether he has the scoring volume for that position. Regardless, looks o be an interesting player due to the strength/scoring he brings to the wing position.
BBS Comparison: Jaylen Brown
5) - ZZ Clark PG 6'2'' 185 19 C B B+ C+ C- A
Analysis: While he may not look like much, notes did state that he is the best PG prospect in this draft. At age 19, he can shoot well as well as handle. The questions also stated that his volume is "fine." Feel like he can become a sneaky good player in this league. While PGs do not tend to have great value unless they are elite, Clark seems like the best player available.
BBS Comparison: Immanuel Quickley
6) - Somtochukwu Cyril C 6'10'' 240 19 C C- D B+ C+ A
Analysis: Not much of an offensive player at all BUT does all the other things you look for in a big. Blocks/boards/handles, good strength. Feel like he could be a legitimate starter for many seasons to come assuming the rebounding develops as it should. Really does remind me another young player on the Hawks.
BBS Comparison: K.J. Mourning
7) from - Vyctorius Miller SG 6'5'' 180 19 B- B- C+ C+ C- A
Analysis: Cool name, a good scorer inside and out. Like that he is 19 with upside, need the handles to develop into a respectable level but if he can become a terrific scorer, then this is good value in the mid-late lotto. Interesting player.
BBS Comparison: Bradley Beal
8) from - Dashawn Alexanders PF 6'10'' 231 22 C+ C C B C+ A
Analysis: The limited stocks hurts his value significantly BUT the rest of his game looks quite good. Notes stated that he is a very good inside scorer and defensive rebounder leading me to think that he will be a double-double machine in the long run. Has good handles and B defense at PF which are also positives. Just needs to on a team which can mask his inability to get stocks. Regardless, does seem like a good player.
BBS Comparison: Nikola Jokic (without the outside shooting)
9) - Jalen Anthony C 6'11'' 225 21 C B+ C- B- C+ B
Analysis: Questions stated that his inside scoring is extremely low BUT the notes stated that his blocks/post defense are both good and that he is a very good shooter. Given that he blocks shots, he should have value instantly. Just need to work on the rebounding/strength and he's a solid rotational player instantly.
BBS Comparison: Aleksej Pokusevski
10) - Lorenzo Laboissonnier SF 6'9'' 226 21 B- C+ C A- C B
Analysis: Notes stated that he is a very good scorer with good handles and a BBS-ready defender. Doubt he has the upside to become a star-caliber player BUT the rest of his game looks pretty good. Should be a nice 4th/5th starter or backup 1/2/3. Cool player to have, looks like terrific value in the later part of the lottery.
BBS Comparison: Lance Stephenson
11) - Obadiah Moe SF 6'8'' 250 22 C+ B+ C A- C B
Analysis: Really nice starting ratings and notes stated that he will be a good 3-and-D type and a rotational player instantly. Given the makeup of Milwaukee's team, it just makes sense for them to grab a solid rotational player at this spot to help them win long-term.
BBS Comparison: Robert Covington
12) from - Abdullah Olajuwon SG 6'3'' 215 22 C+ B- C+ A- C C
Analysis: Who do you think I'm taking with this pick? Notes stated nice jumpshot, handles with some stocks. C rebounding at SG. I like that! Son of THE DREAM! It's quite obvious that I want to draft him.
BBS Comparison: David Nwaba
13) from - Isaiah Elohim SG 6'4'' 185 19 C+ B- C+ B C- B
Analysis: Good handles, extremely quick, good steals, solid shooter. That quickness tells me that he should have some good scoring volume. The good steals and B defense especially at age 19 is quite a positive. Looks like he is worth a flier late in the lottery or middle of the first round.
BBS Comparison: Matisse Thybulle
