Bio:
Joe Rice grew up in a football family, but fell in love with the game of basketball at a very young age. Talent discovered at a local park by Klay Thompson during a charity event in the bay area. Got connected with a AAU team sponsored by Klay, where he took a very raw skillset to the next level. Highly recruited 5 star athlete, but due to medical concerns had multiple high profile scholarship offers pulled. Eventually signed to Fresno State to stay on the west coast.
Joe Rice has extreme Aerophobia. During college he only played in home games or games he was able to travel to by bus. Had very impactful freshmen campaign leading the Bulldogs to 25-6 record and a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament. He posted averages of 25 PPG 7 assist 2 rebounds 2 steals. Helped Fresno State advanced to the Sweet 16 in the Los Angeles regional, but refused to travel by plane to Salt Lake City and the Bulldogs ultimately loss.
NBA Scouts are saying offensively he has the potential to be one of the better players but his travel concerns are raising a lot of concerns amongst many clubs.
