Paulie Fracchi
PG
6’2
197 LBS
19 years old
Olimpia Milano (Italy)
Projected Ratings: C B B+ C C- A
Bio- Paulie grew up in the Italian countryside of Tuscany and his first love was soccer. Fracchi dominated the youth leagues in Italy and was quickly signed to Associazione Calcio Milan Youth Sector at 14 years old as a striker. A year later after scoring 25 goals in one season, Fracchi tore his ACL and MCL after a devastating slide tackle in the final minutes of a blow out. Paulie went under the knife and underwent a year and half rehab where he got depressed deciding ultimately to give up on soccer. At the urging of his girlfriend, Fracchi attended a salsa class in town and started practicing. His premier footwork quickly returned and caught the eye of Ettore Messina, head coach of Olimpia Milano, who was taking the same class with his wife. Messina and Paulie started to hang out drinking some wine after dance classes until finally Messina invited him to work out with the Olimpia pro team. Hesitantly, Paulie decided to accept the invite and work his way back into shape.
Running with the practice squad, Paulie's electric quickness and agility quickly had returned on the basketball floor. He started working on his handles and shooting every day with the reserve team. At 18, he made his debut with the Milano basketball team and led them to the Italian Cup Final in his first season at point guard. Fracchi is interested in making the jump to BBS but would like hone his game more under Messina.
Strengths:
- Elite quickness
- Very good passing and ball handling
- High basketball IQ, always looks to make the right play
- Strong Jumper and developing range from 3PT land
- Will play the passing lanes and get some steals
Weaknesses:
- Below average positional defender
- Not a willing shooter
- Not very strong, needs to lift more
- Rebounding is not great for a PG
- Subpar leaping ability
Stip: *If Fracchi's spends a full season in Milan and does not play his rookie season, he will have +10 real potential added. If he doesn't play his second season, he will have another +10 potential added for a max total potential of +20. No more potential added after his 2nd season. The GM controlling his rights will decides on potential increases.
