Name: Kevin Loathe
Position: C
Height: 6'8"
Weight: 260
Age: 20
College: Ohio State
Projected Ratings: C A- F C A- A
Bio: Kevin was born to a middle class family in Northeast Ohio. He fell in love with the game of basketball from a young age, watching his Cavaliers compete with the best more often than not. When he was only seven years old, he found his hero to look up to - Kevin Love. Watching a man with the same name as him box out and shoot threes brought him great joy. After watching him lock up Steph Curry to finally bring a title to da land, Kevin had fallen in love. He was a bit taller than most kids his age so he tried his best to copy the three and rebound playstyle as the center on every team he was on. Then the love stopped.
Kevin Love was the only one of his big three to stick around, but only physically. He got paid a lot of money to not play much basketball. It got to the point where he tried to play for the Olympic team and was so bad others wondered if he had anything left at all. Young Kevin Loather was now entering High School and watching his hero turn into a zero was hard to watch. As he progressed throughout High School until finally going to college for one year he still did his best to hit the three and box out. Unfortunately he has grown to hate the game and his teammates. He never passes. Ever. While this does mean he limits the turnover, it has not made him many friends. He never plays help defense when an opponent drives. Sometimes he will attempt to block a shot but it is only for his own personal stats and he rarely has multiple in a game.
What sets Kevin apart is his hate for his matchup and not only his own teammates. He will do anything to lock them up in the post. It has been a long time since we have seen a defender of the post at this level. He will do anything to box them out as well, fighting for every rebound like it could be his last. What is strange is that he is also an elite perimeter defender for his size. Watching his hero lock up Steph Curry made him understand the importance of defending at every level. The joy he feels when he contests and forces a miss from some little guard cannot be matched. He also has a solid post game as he takes it personal in trying to prove nobody can defend the post like him. Scouts wonder how he will work in the NBA with his unique skillset, though they do see him as a clear lotto talent.
