Kyle Kennedy
SG
6'5"
225 lbs
Age 20
USC
Ratings: B+ C D C B- A
Background: Kyle Kennedy comes from a rich family from Beverly Hills and he grew up with all the advantages in training, diet, and exposure to the game that money can buy. Despite this, he always knew that if he wanted to really compete, he couldn't limit himself to the soft suburb competition in his high-school league. Thus, he would always get his dad's driver to drop him off at courts in South Central, where he developed a lot of mental toughness and a thick skin as he stuck out like a sore thumb playing streetball. He may be from Generation Z but he has an old-school mentality about the game, bred through watching old 80s and 90s NBA games on Youtube. He loves smashmouth basketball and his favorite player ever is Charles Barkley. Similar in size to Barkley and despite that, he's great on the glass and has a real nose for the ball. On offense, he loves to slash and get to the hoop, as he is blessed with explosiveness and strength, just like his idol. And like Sir Charles, he can sometimes get tunnel vision and try to shoot his way out of a funk, which compounds another weakness of his, a hitch on his shooting form that would make MKG jealous. Lastly, Kyle has a real commitment to playing defense and staying in front of his man, with one bad habit that drives his coaches mad: due to his love for streetball and D'vontay Friga's Youtube channel, he often ball-watches when he's not guarding the ball and lets his teammates get cooked 1on1 without trying to play helpside at the rim or get in passing lanes.
Strengths:
Takes joy in boxing out and crashing the boards.
Can beat his man off the dribble with ease
Very good at keeping his man in front of him
Weaknesses
black hole on offense
no stocks whatsoever
Will never be an efficient 3pt shooter
Stips: Refuses to start at any other position besides shooting guard.
