Name: Jackson Rizzo
Position: C
Height: 6'11"
Weight: 240 lbs
Age: 19
Team: Rome, Italy
Proposed Ratings: C C C B B+ A
Strengths:
-Amazing Rebounder, defensively and offensively.
-Great Shotblocker and Solid Post Defender
-Average jumper, gets blocks from instinct
-Will get some steals here and there, probably average 1-1.5 a game
-Good Jumpshot, that is his only offensive game
-Decent strength
-Solid handles
Weaknesses:
-Can't hit a shot outside of 15 FT. Won't attempt many 3s.
-Not very quick, can't guard players on the wings
-Post up game is non existent
Bio:
Rizzo, born in Rome, moved to the United States at the age of 17 with the dreams of becoming the next great BBS star. He has followed the path of recent Italian prospects like Paulie Fracci and Mauricio Mazza to join the BBS ranks.
One of the best European prospects to enter the league in the last few seasons, Rizzo is a breath of fresh air for BBS General Managers. There has been a shortage of "traditional bigs" in recent drafts, and Rizzo fits that mold. He brings a toughness on the defensive end and on the glass - offensively and defensively. He gobbles up nearly every rebound in sight and many scouts see Rizzo as a future rebounding champion in BBS if he meets his potential. Defensively, he is what you want anchoring the paint. He'll contest every shot in the paint and will get his share of blocks. His post defense is very solid, however, do not expect him to go out to the perimeter and defend wings. He does not have the lateral quickness to do so.
Offensively, all he has is his jump shot and is a great free throw shooter. He has no post game, but will get the occasional tip ins. If you want scoring from your big man, Rizzo is not the guy you should be targeting. His handles are solid for a big man and he won't turn the ball over much, mainly because he does not pass much.
