The Seattle Supersonics are under new management starting this off season. Matt has been around for a long time. The Sonics decided to go with someone with solid experience to manage the Sonics. “I’ve been gming for over 10 years now. We have a system that we use. We will implement it starting this off season.” said Matt. The Sonics aren’t exactly in a good position. The don’t have their pick next season so Sonics can not really begin their rebuild. “We can start the rebuild but we can certainly make the playoffs again.” said Matt. “We have two solid players in Kuminga and Augmon plus Arizin looks like he will go up in training camp.” said Matt. The Sonics just need to sign some solid bigs and they should be good. “Our goal this off season will be to get some starting bigs and work on our depth. We will have to do it from free agency since we only have a 2nd rounder for the draft.” said Matt.
Lets assess the players that the Sonics have right now. Kuminga is a great player but he is getting old. “Kuminga is still a very solid player. If he doesn't go down in training camp he will be key to us getting back into the playoffs.” said Matt. Augmon is another key player for Sonics. “Augmon is very good. He has volume. Thats what we like at the guard position. He on older side though like Kuminga.” said Matt. According to Matt Arizin is untouchable. “Arizin is untouchable. We are not looking to move him. He should help us alot next season once he has another training camp.” said Matt.
The Sonics also have Jalen Lewis who is a solid big. “Lewis is expiring. We hope we can bring him back for sure. We are in desperate need of a big and Lewis looks to be very solid.” said Matt. Now, lets talk about some of the other players under contract for Sonics. Benjamin looks to be a decent rebounding/defending big. “We might look to trade him. We want to see this free agency class first though.” said Matt. “Kenyon will probably stay as he is a great rebounder on a very small contract.” said Matt. “Irv may stay to. Another good rebounder but on a bigger contract.” said Matt.
“We hope to bring back Adama who is an eltie defender. Good bench piece to try to compete.” said Matt. Leo and Howie look like they may be on the block for the Sonics. Tommy is expiring and may look like he played his last game in Seattle since he does not have bird years.
