14 Milwaukee Bucks(from Clippers)- Red Morrison C 6'8'' 220 22 B- D+ C- B B B
Good post defender. Solid rebounder. Strong.
Bucks continue to add size up front to pair up with #1 Pick, Bob Pettit. Morrison looks like he can contribute immediately with B ratings. Add in camps and a nice TC, Morrison might be a player who should've went in the lottery. If Bucks bring back Larry Foust in FA, they will have a nice three headed front court to build with.
15 Philadelphia 76ers (from Nuggets) - Werner Killen C 19 6'8'' 210 C+ D+ C- C C+ A
Good upside. Stocks and boards should be solid. Everything else is pretty mid.
Could be a nice replacement for Walt Davis. Similar skillset for a big.
16 Phoenix Suns (from Grizzlies) - Red Davis C 6'7'' 220 22 B- C- D+ C B- B
Solid inside and midrange. Good rebounder. Some blocks.
Suns add another big to add to their championship front court. Solid depth piece here who looks like he can contribute right out the gate.
17 Houston Rockets (from Spurs) - Jim Paxson SF 6'6'' 200 22 C B+ A- C C A
Can shoot, handle and pass. Will get steals. Doesn't have a ton of volume. Solid rebounder for a wing. Best as a backup 1/2.
Houston are deep in wings and they add another one here. Not many weaknesses other than he won't look to score a lot. However I see Paxson developing into a very good role player for Houston. Despite not having volume, he might have a chance to do whatever he wants on this team to begin his career.
18 Houston Rockets (from Magic) - Frank Selvy SG 6'3'' 180 22 C B+ C+ C+ C- A
Good shooter. Good handles. Some steals. Inside scoring is mediocre.
Another wing, not surprising. He and Paxson are a nice pair together. Who will stand out the most between the two will be the question. Very good role players in the future if developed right. Both guys will have a great opportunity to showcase their games from day 1.
19 Dallas Mavericks - Charles Kraak SF 22 6'5'' 185 B- C C- A C+ C
Elite jumpshot and handles. Some stocks. Elite leaper.
I love this pick here. Dallas has been lacking a wing since their Jackson Leaf championship days. Who doesn't like stocks and elite talent? Could be a steal at this pick.
20 Chicago Bulls - Ron Perry PG 6'1'' 180 19 B- C C+ B- C- A
Elite quickness. Handles are an issue. Pretty raw. Good upside.
Bulls needed a backup PG and Perry is likely the best available at this pick. He has an elite skill in his game which is always a plus.
21 New Orleans Hornets - Otto Kriegshauser SF 22 6'4'' 185 C+ C C- B+ B- C
GOod midrange. Solid stocks. Good handles. Solid rebounder.
Otto looks like a steal at this pick. His notes says everything that teams covet in todays game. Scoring is questionable but at least we know Otto can fill the stat sheet everywhere else.
22 Philadelphia 76ers (from Pacers) - Ron Rivers PF 6'7'' 195 20 C+ C D- C+ C+ A
Raw upside player. Some stocks. Good strength. Poor handles.
Sixers take another chance on a raw, young A potential prospect. Everyone loves stocky bigs and Philly grabs another one.
23 Atlanta Hawks - Ed Kalafat PF 6'6'' 245 22 C+ C+ C C+ B- B
Solid rebounder. Okay midrange. Some 3's. Some stocks. Poor perimeter defender.
Hawks add a backup big behind Jalen Hayes at this pick. Depth player who might be a nice stretch 4 for them.
24 Chicago Bulls (from Raptors) - Solly Walker SG 22 6'3'' 185 B C C- A- C C
I really like this pick here and one of the guys I hope would fall to the 2nd round. Walker looks BBS ready by the look of his ratings. Throw in camps and Walker can possibly contribute for the Bulls asap. A solid looking player who will provide relief for Eppa.
25 Boston Celtics (from Knicks) - Phil Martin SF 6'3'' 190 26 B- C+ C B C- B
Solid inside and jumpshot. Some steals. Good post defender. Not a good rebounder for a SF.
Clear depth player here. May need to play SG since his rebounding is bad to begin with. Throw camps in his scoring/shooting and he might be a decent player in Boston.
26 Houston Rockets (from Heat) - Norman Pott C 22 6'7'' 240 C+ C- D+ B B- C
Solid blocks, mediocre handles.
Who doesn't like shot blocking? BBS loves blocks and that is one skill that will keep you in the league. If he can develop elsewhere that will be a bonus. Nice selection here by Houston and they needed another big as well.
27 Minnesota Timberwolves (from Rockets via Kings) - Chuck Noble SG 6'4'' 190 23 C B+ A- C C B
Very good shooter. Good handles and passing. Not a good defender.
Solid looking role player. If he can improve his defense with camps, he may see enough playing time in Minnesota. With Wolves still rebuilding, I think Noble will do just fine showcasing his 3 pt range when given the green light.
28 New York Knicks (from Jazz) - Dutch Burch PG 22 6'0'' 185 C+ C+ C+ C+ C C
Solid handles solid volume
The Ed Solomon of this draft? C ratings across the board but with goodness underneath.
29 Boston Celtics (from Suns) - Lou Scott C 6'11'' 227 19 C C D C- C+ A
Good upside. Some stocks. pretty mediocre otherwise. Poor handles
Banking on age and potential. Good news he has some stocks to his game. But a boom/bust pick here.
