2036 181 Suns Sign PG Paulie Fracci for $40,162,500 over 2 years.
2036 181 Suns Sign SG Johnny Payak for $4,500,000 over one year.
2036 181 Suns Sign SG Taven Whitehorse for $1,300,000 over one year.
Solid signing for the Suns. A 2 year deal which fits right into their window overall. The defending champs have brought back a pretty similar squad as last season and some may even say they got better. Johnny Paycheck is a good scorer who doesn’t turn it over. Taven is pretty much cut from the same cloth as Pavak. Should be an interesting battle for the backup role at the wing spot. Pretty nice overall offseason for the Suns. Should be an interesting battle for the backup role at the wing spot.
2036 183 Pistons Sign C Chuck Share for $8,200,000 over 2 years.
2036 181 Pistons Sign SG Bill Sharman for $115,500,000 over 7 years.
Nothing shocking here. The Pistons needed to max a stud like Sharman to bring him back. They also needed bodies upfront. Both these signings were obvious. The next step is for the Pistons to balance out their roster. They have a lot of very good wing talent but lack, much of anything really, upfront.
2036 181 76ers Sign PG Dylan Robinson for $10,000,000 over one year.
2036 181 76ers Sign SG Scotty Steagall for $5,000,000 over one year.
2036 181 76ers Sign SG Kevin Porter Jr. for $5,000,000 over one year.
I guess pushing the bird years forward? Dylan is rather blah so he might help the 76ers tank overall but this offseason feels like cruise control. They had 10 Mil in cap before the draft and used it to take on a contract for nothing. Bringing back Dylan overall seems counterproductive to the tank. Scotty is a solid scorer but not sure of the fit long term. Don’t think he has a ton of value around the league but for a 1 yr, 5 Mil deal, not terrible. Kevin Porter Jr seems like a waste of time but whatever. Hopefully there’s a plan here going forward.
2036 181 Kings Sign SF Koa Peat for $134,093,087 over 7 years.
2036 182 Kings Sign PG George King for $27,500,000 over 5 years.
2036 181 Kings Sign C Brock Call for $4,500,000 over one year.
Very good signings here by the Kings. Peat is a stud and you have to believe someone is going to pay up for him. His contract is pretty nice as well. King reminds me of Parks, contract wise. 5.5 for a starting caliber PG is solid. Can’t complain about that at all. Very well done job by Steve here. Oh and fuck Brock Call.
2036 181 Rockets Sign PF Jalen Mbala for $110,636,972 over 6 years.
2036 182 Rockets Sign SF Harrison Mix for $4,500,000 over one year.
Solid signings. The Mbala signing is very nice. The contract is great overall. Didn’t even know you can offer a deal that goes up then declines then stays put. Mix is a solid signing. Not really a guy that should be a long term fit for the Rockets but I can see them getting a decent asset out of him. End of the day, Rockets have to decide what they want to do. They can continue the tank or start making win now moves.
2036 181 Pacers Sign PG Jimmy Darden for $4,500,000 over one year.
2036 182 Pacers Sign C Deshawn Allen for $5,400,000 over one year.
2036 182 Pacers Sign SF Easy Parham for $1,200,000 over one year.
2036 181 Pacers Sign C Orel Gaswiser for $5,400,000 over one year.
Rough offseason for Indy. They lost Mbala. Darden is a solid backup option that they may have to start at PG. Allen is an ok 3rd big and Easy P should be a potentially decent emergency wing/back up PG. Orel is a pretty nice back up. This offseason, Indy was able to get some decent depth. That said, Indy is going to need to figure out what they need to do going forward though because losing Mbala is a rough one.
2036 181 Lakers Sign SG Joe Rice for $14,000,000 over one year.
2036 182 Lakers Sign PG J.W. Fullerton for $34,481,000 over 4 years.
Joe Rice is a filler. Whatever. JW looks like a pretty solid starting PG. Starting at 8 Mil is a pretty nice contract for a player like Fullerton. The Lakers are looking good for their CY season.
2036 181 Bucks Sign C Larry Foust for $57,000,000 over 4 years.
A lot of money and years for sure. The hope here is obviously that he still has potential. If he does then the Bucks will have a pretty nice frontcourt going forward. If not, well, at least he can rebound the ball pretty well. End of the day, in a league that values bigs he'll still be a wanted man.
2036 181 Timberwolves Sign SF Dwight Swails for $57,000,000 over 4 years.
Galo tried to hide this man but Swails signs back in Minny. Swails is a solid TC away from being a pretty good starting SF. The Wolves roster overall looks very nice going forward.
2036 181 Nets Sign SF Josip Matic for $6,240,000 over one year.
2036 181 Nets Sign C Lachlan Uno for $10,000,000 over one year.
Nets bringing back some solid players in Matic and Uno. My guess is both players may be on the move eventually but we shall see. Matic especially should have decent value considering how good of a shot blocker he is. I fully expect the Nets to tank their ass off and have an eventful offseason next year.
2036 181 Cavaliers Sign C Somtochukwu Cyril for $80,640,000 over 4 years.
2036 181 Cavaliers Sign C Ed Sadowski for $1,200,000 over one year.
2036 183 Cavaliers Sign SF Julius Avery for $17,212,000 over 3 years.
Good signings for the Cavs. Good and necessary. Cyril should still be a capable player going forward once the Cavs reset this season. Ed is old but looked solid for the Nets last yr. He has camps left and the Cavs will definitely using them to make him a pretty good back up big this season. Avery played pretty well for the Cavs last season and with how much he is loved by the Cleveland organization, I can see him playing a solid role in the Cavs quest for a reset.
2036 181 Knicks Sign C Bulbs Ehlers for $4,500,000 over one year.
2036 182 Knicks Sign SG Max Zaslofsky for $1,200,000 over one year.
2036 182 Knicks Sign C Kai Jones for $1,440,000 over one year.
Poor Bulbs. He signs with the Knicks then immediately gets sent back to Canada. Bulbs is a pretty solid signing. Not sure how much he has left in the tank but can’t complain since it seems like you know what you are getting with him. Max was one of the more liked FA’s added last season. Wouldn’t shock me if he got some camp love from skillz. He can for sure score. Turnovers might need a bit of work though. Kai Jones blocks shots. Solid rebounder as well. Pretty solid signing for cheap.
2036 181 Heat Sign PF Johnny Bach for $4,500,000 over one year.
Good signing for Miami. Solid rebounder and shot blocker. He doesn’t provide much on the offensive end but that’s fine for a team like Miami.
2036 181 Magic Sign C K.J. Mourning for $1,200,000 over one year.
2036 183 Magic Sign SF Jim Pollard for $5,200,000 over one year.
Not much to say here. Mourning is a solid 3rd or emergency big and the Magic could use some more depth up front. We all can tbh. Jim Pollard is just a solid swing man. Nothing more or less.
2036 181 Raptors Sign C Boomer Dipp for $1,300,000 over one year.
2036 182 Raptors Sign C Dick Knostman for $1,173,942 over 2 years.
Like the Magic, the Raps needed more frontcourt depth. Dipp is a good shot blocker and he should be a solid addition to the rotation overall. Dick Knostman has an awesome name. That’s all I got here.
2036 182 Hawks Sign SF Tony Lavelli for $1,646,442 over 2 years.
2036 182 Hawks Sign SF Bob Feerick for $1,200,000 over one year.
Not much is really known about Tony but for such a cheap deal, it’s a good shot at a steal. Not sure what his camp situation looks like but if he looks good then the Hawks did great here. If not then no big deal. Feerick is another one of those new FA’s that played last yr. I don’t think any of them signed for an MLE so it’ll be interesting to see how many actually get camped. Feerick looks like he can be a few camps away from being a pretty nice scorer. Stocks look decent as well.
2036 182 Mavericks Sign PF Jermaine Flowers for $4,500,000 over one year.
2036 182 Mavericks Sign C Ed Mikan for $725,000 over one year.
Decent signing. The Mavs are really in need of a PG though. With Poole leaving, the Mavs will need to find a solid replacement there. They also need some more shooting. Flowers, again, is decent. Just don’t see him as a difference maker right now. Mikan is a more solid deal to me. Cheap and doesn’t use up an MLE or LLE. He isn’t great but as a 4th big, he’s capable.
2036 182 Timberwolves Sign SG John Oldham for $8,500,000 over one year.
Not much to say. He’s old ham.
2036 183 Heat Sign SF Zion Williamson for $6,000,000 over one year.
Old man Zion returns to the beach, beauty and babies. Along with all the Caribbean dishes he can ask for. Zion is still a pretty solid player off the bench and while he’ll be 3rd string starting out, wouldn’t shock me if he moves up during the season unless TC screws him over.
2036 183 Wizards Sign C Dezmond Davis for $6,400,000 over one year.
Kind of surprised Davis wasn’t brought back on a slightly longer deal. Davis is a solid big and for a team that wants to rebuild, he should be able to net an asset pretty easily I’d imagine.
2036 182 Spurs Sign SG Anthony Edwards for $50,859,375 over 3 years.
Solid signing for the Spurs. Shocked that the Sonics didn’t try and out do this but oh well. The Spurs are in position to make a solid run as long as they can land some decent bigs. Anything would be better then what they sent out last season.
2036 181 Suns Sign SG Johnny Payak for $4,500,000 over one year.
2036 181 Suns Sign SG Taven Whitehorse for $1,300,000 over one year.
