Red Rockets Happy Humpin Saturday Lotto preview
Well fans, here we are with another Draft and not only will you find out who will be drafted in the lotto, Miss Cleo again joins us to update the draft order. Remember she was spot on with a prediction last year. This year we have two teams making jumps, the Hornets to #1 and Golden State sliding up to #4. But really who cares past the number one pick as this is a woof woof class, and I should know cause I’m a dog with a red rocket.
1. New Orleans
K.C. Jones PG 6'1'' 200 23 C+ C B+ B+ C+ A Elite. Elite inside, midrange, handles, quickness, perimeter defense. Maximum rebounding for a PG. Very good stocks. Cannot shoot the 3. Cannot jump.
KC will be the best PG of all time. The no 3 point or jumping means he’s 100 for jumpshot and inside scoring, and he wont be turning the ball over. Add that to his outstanding boarding and Steals, this kid is gonna dominate his position for a long, long time.
2. Seattle
Maurice Stokes C 6'7'' 232 22 C C- C- B+ B+ A Very good stocks, post defense and rebounder. Not much on the offensive side of the ball.
The great granddaddy of a Dennis Rodman style player comes in at the number 2 pick. Him entering the league will diminish Worms trade value as now there will be someone just like Worm, only younger.
3. Philly
Tom Gola SF 6'6'' 205 22 B- C C+ B- B- A Very good inside and midrange scorer. Handles are good. Some stocks. Good rebounder at SF.
This is where the draft starts to suck. Gola should be a mid lotto pick but here he is at 3
4. Golden State
Harvey Babetch SG 6'2'' 187 22 C+ B+ B C+ C- B Elite jumpshot. Good steals. Solid 3 point shot and handles. Poor rebounder.
For the second year GS jumps in the draft, sadly there is no one on the board to help them get better, so they take the BPA and get someone to tie up a rookie contract.
5. Houston
Jack Twyman SF 6'6'' 210 21 B B- C C+ C+ A Very good inside, jumpshot and handles. Solid boards, some stocks. Post defense and 3 point shot are mediocre.
Jack should be a mid lotto pick but here he is at 5
6. Boston
Johnny Horan PF 6'8'' 190 23 C D D+ C+ C+ A Elite shot blocker. Everything else is pretty mid.
Break goes for the Stock guy cause he drools over the Elite Stocks forgetting he’ll be a liability at everything else.
7. New Jersey
Buzz Wilkinson SG 6'2'' 175 23 C+ B+ B+ C D+ A Elite inside, midrange and quickness. Very good with steals. Rebounding and handles need work.
In CY NJ gets Buzz, who will not be enough to reset, nor will be interesting as a trade. This draft class has doomed NJ from retaining their GM. Looks like Stool will finally get his shot in the league. Get ready for the worst trade offers filling your PM box EVER. The only shot NJ has now is everyone trying to tank for the GOAT Russell.
8. Orlando
Jim Loscutoff SF 6'5'' 200 25 C+ C+ D+ A- C B Solid inside and midrange. Good handles. Some stocks. Solid player.
Orlando gets a solid guy at 8. Jim is designed to be picked here and will be just good enough to justify being the 8th pick
9. Los Angeles
Guy Sparrow PF 6'6'' 218 23 C D+ D+ B B A Solid with rebounding, blocks and post defense. Doesn't offer much else.
Nice backup big.
10. San Antonio
John Miller PG 6'4'' 190 20 C C C+ B+ C B Nice jumpshot. Solid handles. Some stocks. Good rebounder at PG. No 3 point shot.
John might be a steal here, or will just be ho hum.
11. Milwaukee
Al Ferrari SF 6'4'' 190 22 B C C- C D+ A Very good inside, midrange and handles. Defense and rebounding aren't very good.
Dime a dozen SF that people cant wait to get rid of, but will score some points. At least he wont be turning it over a ton.
12. Detroit
Burdette Haldorson C 6'9'' 225 21 C D+ C- C+ B+ B Very good rebounder and ball handler. Some stocks. Not much offensively.
A mediocre backup 4/5 heads to Detroit
13. Indy
Bart Leach SF 6'4'' 200 20 C+ B- C- C+ C A Solid inside and midrange scorer. Handles aren't great.
Bart would have gone a lot higher if he wasn’t so fond of giving the ball away.
Well there you have it, a woof woof draft with a woof woof class. The question is, should I trade Red for KC?
